Default 2015 Dyno

My car is in at Wongs Performance for ARH Jethot coated 2 inch install and tune.

The car did 599.6 rwhp/ 604.6 rwtq on 1 single pull on Tom's Mustang Dyno.

These are the baseline numbers stock with Halltech intake and TRIC set-up. Looks like the Halltech intake is doing as advertised!
As Tom thought about 550 is stock for an m7 on his dyno.

I will have the results headers and tune later. As well as the before and after dyno sheets. I had to leave the car will check back later or tomorrow!

Good deal! I ordered the Stage 1 kit for my A8 car.

It angers me that GM choked the schitt out of the Z car before it had a chance to shine.

I've heard great things about the Halltech...but to say 50hp is legit on someone's opinion..."thought.' A true before and after is the only way to know for sure Congrats on the 600whp though.

I hear you brother but least we had Jim at Halltech was on it. He found 40 -50
rwhp and it was unheard of. But it sucks that they didn't do better to start with. I'm sure it helps with the cooling issue as well. I'm looking forward to the benefit from the headers Jethot coating which lower the temps as well!

A comment was made mine is not far off the dyno numbers from Callaway cars we have seen.

HUH! We know they work as advertised no DOUBT there!
Maybe DO a search before you add silly comments.

My tuner is known around here on the forum as one of the best on the west coast!
He has had more than several C7's and Z06's in for headers and blower kits.

His thoughts are more of right on not a guess.

He says they make 40 rwhp on everyone he has done so far and it is a few. He was booked with new Corvette's to get in. I waited months!

I'm not trying to argue with you, but you're trying to suggest his OPINION is fact and YOU got 50hp from the CAI. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. The only way to actually KNOW is to try them back to back. I know that's a hard 'logical and objective' thing to process...but it's true. I'm not saying you didn't get 50whp...what I am saying, you can't make the claim that you DID get 50whp. Keep in mind we've seen C7Z'z dyno at 575whp STOCK...so maybe your's is a 'hero' car with 580whp, and maybe it's on the lower end with only 535whp...The facts and the truth are, you don't really know EXACTLY how much power the CAI added. That's NOT bashing, that's just being objective. Like I said, I have NOTHING against Halltech...

It's all good. I see your point we won't know the exactly what it made stock.

I would guess with 40 rwhp as close. Way happy with that. Exactly makes no difference to me. AS it was making 600rwhp and we will see soon the difference in the numbers with headers.

And more importantly with a dyno tune!

Seeing this is a mustang dyno and my car really was no hero car stock
coming from my ZR1 which felt faster then I felt the Halltech install on the Z06 evened the score and i was right and the Halltech was a huge difference.

So 575-580 stock is out the window. I think the 40 rwhp or little more is very close.

Here is the sheet showing 636 rwhp and 616 rwtq
which at 17 percent loss is 757 hp

Still almost 12 pounds of boost with the headers installed!
WOW what a difference.

WHO SAID headers don't gain! They are way off!

AFR is now 12 and she was a little lean glad she is tuned!
Top end pulling power gained a ton MPH will be up a lot!

I think this Wong guy worked on my Mustang Cobra with a Kenne Bell back-in-the-day.
He eventually got it to stop detonating, but it took him a week or so (wasn't cheap).

I learned my lesson with mods and won't be doing anything that jeopardizes the warranty on mine.

Anyway, good luck with yours.

Thanks!
Mods make the car if you choose the right ones. I enjoy my car much better with the mods I have. Certainly one on the road to avoid with your A8! Glad he fixed your problem you brought
to him.

37hp gain from Headers/x-pipe and tune.... SOLID gains and about what I would expect.... Contrary to everyone saying they don't gain anything with headers....

And look at all that torque you lost down low from the 2" headers....

Nice job!

Did Wong discuss IATs, KR or any of that with you?

Good gains!

Can the OP (or anyone) explain the dip at @4k RPMs on the initial pull? First thought comes to mind is the cat overtemp that dumps fuel but without the AF display I am not sure. OP were these both hot or cold pulls? Car still made good power on the baseline pull but would have like to see what it would have made without whatever happened at 4k RPMs.

Coolant is running cooler as well not even going as high as before.
Already noticing it is cooler running. ESP under underhood as well.
The Halltech intake to be honest was a little leaner than my tuner
liked untuned.

But now everything is better and the TRIC that is not showing on the dyno has a fat AFR 12.0 ratio to work with and I am feeling a huge rush on the top that was not there. Prediction Hello 135 plus!

This tune I got is great so amazing feels so much stronger than stock it is beast now. Nannies are fixed as well!
This this will surprise people next track outing.
