Fluid MotorUnion C7 Cat-Delete Pipes (Group Buy Info)
Hey everyone! As some of may have seen earlier this week, Oshvette had posted a thread gauging some interest for a group buy on our C7 Corvette cat-delete pipes. He has shown that the interest is there so we want to make this happen and have since sponsored the forum!
We’ll be keeping track of the group buy here so anyone and everyone that showed interest in the past, please verify with us again.
These are fabricated in house and tig-welded out of quality 3” stainless steel pipe.
Pricing will be based on amount of orders as follows (plus shipping):
1-5 units, $899
5-10 units, $849
10-15 units, $799
15-20 units, $749
Beyond 20 sets and we will include free shipping.
To our understanding, these pipes should work on both the Stingray and Z06 since the part numbers for the stock cats are the same.
First 4 ready to ship!
1. WhiteSands
2. evokiller

Once we have everyone confirmed again we will be taking a $200 deposit now to reserve your spot. Once we have received the flanges we will then collect another $200 once we start building your set. The remaining balance will be collected once your set is ready to ship. As of now, we should be ready to ship the first sets in 3-4 weeks.

My 2 cents I believe there will be more interest if they are priced like x-pipe ($500 or below). There is less material than x-pipe anyway.
Also, it would be good to highlight advantages of these pipes and what it takes to install them. I assume much easier than installing headers.

Tune
I'm interested but will installing these require a tune and will any codes be thrown with these?

Flanges
I own a Tool & Die shop and see that those flanges are noting very complicated, so if you need help getting caught up making the flanges, please let me know and I'm sure I can be competitively priced and would also be willing to make however many sets of flanges as trade for a set of the completed delete pipes. I would assume you are using 304 stainless plate?

If these eliminate the front set of cats, not having a tune will throw a code for sure. There is no way for that to not happen. No one has a sim on the market that will plug into the o2 sensor lead.

Where did you find sims for the C7 ? And as you pointed out, w/o bungs for sims to screw into the test tubes are useless.

We deleted the CEL with a tune and to gain the most power from these we would recommend a tune.

Thanks for confirming!
You can still turn your CEL off with a "tune" and not modify any other parameters.

Melting Slicks
If you delete the cats, turn off the O2's and disable the CEL it will require fueling adjustments just as adding long tube headers does. It's not a simple bolt-on process folks.

You're not completely "removing" the O2's so the primaries are still doing their job of adjusting. All you're doing is removing the "monitoring" that makes sure the cat is working.
As mentioned, we recommend a tune to go along with the modification to yield the best results. Dyno's in the past have shown very minimal, if any, changes in AFR's and if there were any differences, the AFR's were still well within the normal range that allows to ECU to compensate correctly.
