Default Recalls on the 2015 & 2016 Z06

Just FYI, went in for my second oil change and there were 3 minor recalls out on my '16. SA said most Z06s have at least one recall.

Unfortunately, one of them has wiped out the specific mode gauges. The cluster is stuck in the Sport Mode gauge with the large circular tach. Pocket gauges are frozen. SA has no idea when this will be corrected but another recall to recall the recall will be forthcoming.

Otherwise, 1 year and 4,000 miles later, the car has been flawless. 2LZ A8.

Looks like it happened to my 2016 Z06 took it in last week for an alignment and Air Bag re-flash and another re-flash for an occasional stumble feels like the motor going to die but then catches when almost coming to a stop and then accelerating. My gauges are stuck in the Sport Mode and I think the Trans is also as now there is no performance differences from Eco, Winter, Touring, Sport and Track all feel the same.

Oh no, sounds like the Tesla plague (things get worse after "update") is affecting GM recall updates as well. I got a notice to bring it in for airbag flash, something about possible non-deployment of the airbag. Not just Corvette, though. My Spark EV is affected as well.

I got the airbag notice and had it done while they were checking a seat issue. the seat won't go back and they have to order a new sensor for it.

I just had the airbag reflash done on my 2016 while they did the 2nd oil change. No issues at all after it was done.

Default 2015

Had the airbag re-flash done, messed up display, so I had to re-set it.

Just had to figure out how to get it back to what I had before which I had only done once when I first got the car.

I had the airbag recall taken care of a month ago. No problems with the car.

Sounds like the remedy causes more issues than it solves. Think I'll hold off for a while since all is good right now. No need to tempt fate.

^....this!

I verified the airbag reflash with HPTuners and nothing was changed in the actual tune. However, it did reset the display.

Good info about no changes to the tune and I think if your display is factory than nothing changed, mine was altered.

Yeah I just went through the same thing. I'm a little frustrated.

I had mine in for the first oil change and they said that airbag recall needed to be done. I just noticed after driving that all modes had the same display as well. Was wondering what was going on but now it makes sense as this is being brought up.

reflashes always make me nervous. Something always gets changed or reset. I am going to wait a while......I am due for my second free oil change....but I think I may wait till my third oil change before getting the reflash/recall done.....

OP, are you sure the gauge mode isn't now set to Sport rather than "Link to Drive Mode"? It could be that simple...

Was going to take mine in for airbag recall but wanted to see what was going to happen first. My is going to be put to into hibernation in a few days so I will just wait until spring and make sure GM has everything worked out..
