Did you have the maf sensor unplugged for a long time? I found this thread:

I had that happen to me on a 2011 GS. Took it to a local chevy dealer and was told I would have to get the car tuned and I had voided the warranty. I did get it tuned and the check engine light went off. That was four Corvettes ago and I never added air intake stuff again.

This happens when the maf sensor is unplugged on a certain time. When I put my cold air intake I did not unplug it but just removing the maf and installing it to the new CAI.

It was the mess up in the air fuel ratio. It never came back on until I tracked it yesterday, however It turns of after a few start stops. I did break the 11 second mark in a very hot day and a bad prepped track with traction control on.

I have the aFe intakes on both the Stingray and the Z06. Never have had a CEL from the get go with either car. Something isn't right if you are.

Sorry for the super late reply, but I noticed the CEL never came back until I took it to the track and ran some insane numbers, guy plugged in his laptop to the car and we discovered the light was due to messed up air to fuel ratios. Now a tune would fix it but I dont want to do anything that voids the warranty because its my daily driver and the only car i own

Well, so much for the above. Now mine has started doing it. Even w/o track driving. The car is going back to 21st Century asap. I will have the stock air box put back in if need be. I am not tuning the car. This is crazy as I never had this issue on the Stingray in over 40 k miles.

I don't know about the AFE, but I installed a Halltech brand & did not need a tune & no cel's either

All i can say is, if the issue cannot be cured, the aFe is coming out. Then, if it continues at least the CAI will not be the issue. If necessary, I will pull the ARH mid length headers and return to bone stock configuration.

I run the gray low flow filter, not the high flow blue. The car runs the best at the track so far with the low flow filter. As far as codes being set the "only" time that has happen which I can count on three fingers seems to be when the gas tank is really low and it happens/sets when sitting still for awhile at idle. I just clear the codes with a code reader when I get time. Intake has been on the car for a good while now.
No code on this day:
PS: If it's not working out for you than you may want to try going back to "stock" but replace the OEM filter with a Green High flow OEM replacement filter like Lingenfelter uses on their 720 HP stage one package. I used that for awhile but I picked up 1 mph with the AFE setup at the time over the stock air box & green filter so I stuck with the AFE.

What year is your car, I too kept getting a P106 code from the Haltec on my 17 Z. I put in a Granatelli Maf, which helped quite a bit, hardly saw the code, but do not want to see the code AT ALL.
I took off the intake and just went with a direct K&N filter replacement for now. I'm sure I'll break down and tune someday, and then I'll put the intake back on, but for now, the car runs great, no more codes...
