Being that you're in the Northeast along with me, I recommend you do the following.

Each week, remove one lug nut and clean it really good for seven days.
By the end of 20 nuts, you'll be able to take your car out for a nice ride.

You have to start now though

Don't forget to take into consideration that sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.That may add an extra day or two.

While cleaning them past Sunday, I was thinking there had to be a better way more in line with my OCD.

Just ordered one. Thanks for posting.

It actually does a great job. Got mine through RPI designs. I think you can find them pretty much anywhere. Oh, also in the Northeast.

I have that tool for a few years now .Works great but you have to pull up the gray sponge part up often,Get pushed down towards handle. Worth that little hassel for the price.

Can you just use a MF towel and an old/used toothbrush handle to clean the nuts around? (ie. put the towel on the toothbrush handle, dip in soap and water, and start cleaning away??)
