Aeroplate
I see that some vendors are selling the flat grill mounted plate for over a Benjamin, and I was this close to buying one, but I thought there has to be a cheaper solution.
Lo and behold, a 5 sec search on YouTube and I found Ginger:
In as little as 7 minutes, I was able to replace the bulky bumper mounted front plate with the one that GM/Chevy provided in the trunk. Good thing I did because it started to rub on the car and even nicked a little bit of my stripes.
I am very baffled why people don't go this route and spend money on other solutions. Am I missing something here? I just really want to understand how the other solutions are so pricey and this is basically free. Don't all Vettes come with both license frames in states that require a front plate?

I trimmed mine slightly smaller, and put a rubber boarder around the metal edge of the plate back in 2014. I think I may have been one of the first to post it. It is also worth noting that I drilled holes where the fasteners are that mount the bracket to the grille so I can remove the whole thing without removing the metal plate. Trimming the aero panel also allows more air to flow around the plate and through the grille.
Ginger needs to catch up with the forum.

NOTE: Of course the ultimate aerodynamic mount is to just duct tape it to the bumper... With color matching tape, it practically disappears!
