I Live in NY and e85 is at every station, but to ensure I get the good blend I would buy straight from my local speed shop. Anyone who is running it have you had any problems? Also some people tell me they mix it with 93 octane? I really don't want to play the mixing game like on a 2 stroke
I want to know more about the capabilities with E85 without the use of meth. Given the stock fuel system's limitations, the advantages of meth are significant, but what kind of results have people seen on just an E85 mix, and at what point is it necessary to swap the cam for a bigger fuel lobe?
You need to run meth with e85 because the stock fuel system is lacking. And as far as running full on e85 with meth, I've seen tuners that say yes, and others that say no. So that seems to be a mixed bag.
And with a flex fuel sensor you can run any combo of e85/93 etc and the tune will compensate for it. Without the sensor, you can only have a tune for unleaded, or a tune for ethanol, etc... You can't switch without loading a different tune.
I have a ProCharger F1A , American Racing headers and Akrapovic exhaust. I'm planning on adding meth and going with E85. I'm hoping to gain around 125rwhp.
