Default Blower/Snout porting

Thinking of going with Jokerz performance or Fasterproms... any pros/cons to either one? Thanks

Will this porting help a stock tune/stock pulley car with a ported TB?

Or will you only see gains on a more highly modified car?

thx

Don't mean to jack the thread but do you need a CNC machine for this job or can you just do it at home?

Quality port work is expensive and time consuming, more so if the guy actually knows what he's doing. I suppose one would have to spend 3k to port a 2k set of head castings, then see the results to understand. In the case of a PD setup, ANY hint of intake restriction pre-rotor will hinder boost production.

I would love to see a c7z on the Dyno with a baseline and then remove/port/replace/retest all while the car is still on the rollers.
I think a few will be surprised, as to it being worth the cost....that would still be subjective to some I'm sure.

we have shown 40-50whp on otherwise stock LT4 ZO6. Will find graphs. You hit it on the head when you said it depends who is doing the porting. We plan to make north of 720whp with Halltech CAI, TSP 2in LT, BER 2.31 upprr, our E85 kit and our ported blower/snout. This entire package will be under 4k shipped

I know of Jokerz from the CTS-V world. His work is incredible, very detailed and yields real HP improvements. 40-50 is the right number and I can't imagine not doing a tune to handle the increase in air flow. Another plug for Jokerz is that he worked with a few owners to experiment on where to remove material to improve flow. I know it's equal parts art/science and appreciate someone that is always trying to improve his craft.

So, 40-50HP improvement expected on an otherwise stock c7 z06?
(mine is a stock C7Z A8 with CAI and soon to have a ported TB, stock tune)
That's (40-50hp gain) very significant. What's the cost for porting the oem blower and snout?

If that "otherwise stock" z06 is still on the stock tune (except for CAI)...
then I assume this blower and snout porting is going to require a tune as well.

Tuning the "otherwise stock" car is probably going to gain you at least 25HP by itself..
eithet way, sounds like a pretty good mod..
and it comes back to the cost to determine if the mod is cost effective.

What's the cost?

40 to 50 HP gain, is that from porting the snout only or snout, manifold and intake runners?

Yep his work is incredible. Proven to be the best in the business. Stay tuned as we take basic bolt ons over 720whp by March

Fasterproms i'm sure does a pretty good port job, but I'm going to go with Jokerz when I'm ready. His full time job is porting and repairing blowers. His results shows it
