Default Long Shot

I Have a set of used wheels/tires that I recently purchased. And although I know the front tires will work on either the left or right side, I was curious if there was any way to tell which tire(s) was originally on the right or left side? (Perhaps some kind of indicator the factory may have put on the rim, etc.) I ask this only because I have heard that it is better to put them back on the same side they came off? Anyone know of anything? Thanks in advance.

Carefully look at the tires. The tires from the right side tire will always wear more than the left side in countries that drive on the right. It should be simple to find provided the previous car had a proper alignment and the owner kept the inflation pressures correct.

The Michelins are asymmetric, but not directional so can be rotated side to side to even out wear, depending on the alignment.

The Goodyears on the C6 Z06 were asymmetric and directional so they were only LF, RF, LR, RR and only there.
