Default Z07 missing front splitters?

Hello to all. Purchased a 2015 w/Z07 package last month, and after some research discovered that 2 sets of front aero splitters originally should have come with the car. Mine came with only the tall ones installed. Am I reading these threads correctly that both short and tall splitters came with the car? If so, I can't find a separate part number for the smaller ones to order them. I saw on here some preproduction part diagrams that showed the small ones used to have a part number, but it appears they're not listed separately anymore.

Has anyone ordered these?

Are you buying this car as a new left over 2015 or is it a used car? The short end caps are delivered installed on the car from the factory. The dealer then installs the tall end caps and puts the short ones in the cargo compartment. This may not happen at all dealerships. When I purchased my 2015 Z07 I didn't realize the short end caps along with several other things were not in the rear of the car. I had purchased the car at a dealership about 3 hours drive from where I live and when I got home I found they were missing. I went through a month long hassle to get them. The dealer called the short caps Take Aways which sort of meant they took them off and threw them away. To make up for it they sent me an extra set of tall end caps but wouldn't send the short ones. It turns out the short end caps only come as part of the front splitter which means they cost $2000 and the dealer refused to pay $2000.

I opened a claim for GM Customer Assistance and they came through for me. About a month after I opened the claim I received a call from the dealer and they asked for the address of the dealer where I get my car serviced. They sent a complete front splitter to that dealer and I picked it up there and brought it home. GM Customer Assistance then called and apologized for the confusion and gave me a $1000 gift certificate for GM Accessories.

Wow. That's not promising.

I purchased the 2015 from a dealer as a GM Certified used car.

Unfortunately if it's used you get what it came with. Things like owner's manuals, accessories, roof bags, and so on aren't guaranteed. Maybe the dealer will throw you a bone, but I don't think you are "owed" anything given that it's used.

But it never hurts to ask nicely.

Picked up a 2016 Z07 on 10/24 that had the stage 3 installed. The stage 2 end caps were in the back of the car with a bunch of other stuff

I definitely understand, I had to purchase a manual set on my own. I guess my original question still remains. Has anyone ordered the small ends separately as a pair?

As I said above they are parts of the front splitter. You need to order the complete splitter. There are no separate part numbers available for Customers to order.

Do you have the exposed Carbon splitters? If so, I'll sell you mine.

My 2015 Z07 with Museum delivery came with the short ends, and the longer ones were in the trunk area. Then my 2017 was delivered with only the long ones installed. Not sure if the dealer installed them or? I got no smaller ones with my 2017 Z07.

Nice of you.

OP I bet a lot of stage 3 guys have the small ones sitting around their garage collecting dust. If you don't have exposed CF I'd post a thread in the want to buy C7 section asking for the pieces you need. I also have them but they're exposed CF which it looks like you've already got a deal on your hands for.

Good luck with the new whip!

Best,
Gene

No, I haven't found any stage 2 components yet. I do not have the exposed carbon fiber package, but I suppose mixing the two wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I'm so impressed with how this car hooks compared to my C6Z that maybe I shouldn't be bothered with the stage 2 aero. Perhaps the reduced lift/downforce really is a factor, although I think this new E-LSD is responsible for the increased traction.

And thank you, I'm certainly enjoying the car - it has exceeded my expectations!

I bought a 17' Z06 (Z07) that I put a custom order in for and I got the short ones in a bag along with the front license plate holder and some other stuff.

I purchased mine as a GM Certified used vehicle. I wasn't able to get the original owner's info from the dealer. I'll try going through the GM Certified channels but I doubt it will go anywhere, especially seeing how much trouble Bill Dearborn had to go through on a new purchase.

Thank you all for your input.

IMHO I would definitely not mix CF ends with painted splitter.
