Default 6 miles

I bought my '16 Z06 in December. I drove it 6 miles to get it home. The weather has been too cold. The only relatively warm days had me driving dear old Dad back and forth to see Mom in the hospital. Now my foot is in a boot, broke it getting out of my wife's '13 Ram 2500 4x4. I stepped down wrong. This is driving me nuts. I did start it to charge the battery.

"I did start it to charge the battery"

That is why you leave it plugged in...

Idling a cold engine is not the best idea.

You can always bring it up to temperature, roll it back and forth to prevent flat spots and then gently run it up to 3000 or so RPMs to bring it up to temperature. It won't rev above 4,000 during the break in period anyway.

Did all that. It had 950 miles on it when purchased. Traded Vette number 7, a 15 Z51 on it.

you could always turn up the heat in the house and leave the door open to the garage, and go out and sit by it to keep it company

I know that feeling. Our Z06 was delivered to our house at the beginning of January 2016 with only 3 miles on the odometer. I asked the dealer to trailer it here because of all the salt on the roads. I plugged in the charger and there it sat for almost 4 months. All I can say is that it was well worth the wait. Hopefully, you'll get to enjoy it soon.

Had one until last summer's house fire. It's on my list. My broken foot keeps me home.
