Some of your attitudes are scary........ I can do whatever I want whenever I want and I don't care!!! The hell with any man women or child or grandchild that gets in my way.

I guess you missed the part where I said " He took a big chance" and if it went wrong it would be his problem.

Yep, I'm scary. I hate righteous, judgmental people spewing righteous PC nonsense when the post was "hey check this out" not what do you think was this proper?
Who said the hell with anyone? Not me.

There are many issues "IF" one wanted to dissect the whole big picture here. I chose not to, because I can follow directions. The post said pretty cool, as in an entertaining video regarding his skill. Several went off the reservation into judgment.
I don't care where you exercise your toys, it is just as illegal and risky as what this guy did, but "you" feel the way and when "you" do it it's safer and better. Wrong.

What if you on a deserted public road you "excercise" your Z. At an illegal speed a beautiful little bambi gets scared and jumps in front of your car. You kill the poor deer, go off road, are pinned in your car. Emergency workers, police and fire respond. A police officer gets hurt trying to get you out of your car. He has to go to the hospital at tax payers expense. You now make an insurance claim. Everyone's insurance goes up "Especially"corvette owners! They repaint your car which hurts the environment. Society has now paid for the emergency workers to come, the hospital bill, insurance rate hikes, global warming from your paint job, AND you killed one of God's creatures, the deer.
You sir, are a menace to society being a "smart person who limits your risk" as you said. Now Prius people will look to enact a bill in congress to outlaw speeding corvettes.............all because of you.

He posted a video about a guys skill level. That was it. Do you see where several went off the reservation?? It wasn't a political topic.

I hope I didn't scare you into selling your corvette and buying a Prius so there is less "risk" being exercised intelligently?

I didn't take it that way at all. Everyone is responsible for doing something stupid on a public road at some point in their life. Everyone. If you do not admit to this then you're just a liar. There is a time and place for everything, I agree. But if you are trying to tell me that you abide by every single rule of law while you're on a public road, then you are much more righteous than I

I do tend to be more careful on the road as I grow older; currently 39. But every once in a while, I enjoyed spirited driving when the urge hits me. If this happens to be on a public road, I say why not. Just be careful with your surroundings and use common sense.

I could care less that the OP doesn't want comments about how stupid this was. With the stopped traffic and the potential to spin into the opposite lanes of traffic, to try and glorify this moronic behavior because he didn't cause a major accident or injury THIS TIME is about as nuts as doing the deed. I hope the moderators lock this thread

That's quite an imagination...

It wasn't a political topic.
I didn't think this thread had anything to do with politics...until you posted your imaginative scenario.

Nice cherry picking and taking things into your imagination. So now that one part of a post is political according to you? It was not imaginative it was a scenario, a what if? Like all the other moronic comments about what COULD happen and then all the judgment and insanity. Read the WHOLE post, not cherry pick and the "story" was to show how off course most of these comments are. So a story about an accident and its implications is political to you? There is no help for you. You just couldn't help yourself and had to spew something so you came up with imagination and politics?? High horse, pulpit nonsense. I can see that reading comprehension is a problem for you. Please block me so you don't have to read anything I say. The entire post was meant to show in a light-hearted way that NO ONE is perfect or beyond reproach, and all of us have done something stupid or wrong even if one doesn't think so, like I illustrated in that "imaginative, political story"!
It is amazing the finger pointing and judgment.....oh wait I'm on the internet again.....

Superiority and Dominance needs to be kept clear! We don't want people to get the wrong idea!

Jimmy Johnson has mentioned how testy people can be to him driving!?

I don't even know what you're talking about. Random question, why do you have a selfie of some dude with his shirt off as your avatar? I think you may have uploaded a picture to the wrong forum.

^^My thoughts exactly.

Knowing that its easier to drive out of a counter-clockwise donut versus a a clockwise donut, that definitely isn't the first time that guy has done that.

I'm not saying do it all the time, but, if you've never pulled a stunt in a newer Corvette you are missing the point, IMO. They are awesome!

And if you don't recognize me from the Cards and Coffee Oswego/Tigard Starbuck's then same-same!

I was playing here, excuse me. In retrospect, and more seriously, there were pedestrians out there and he probably could have had his car crushed in CA for that.

Default Anyone remember that old GM commercial with the red cartoon Vette thing?

It was some kind of a 'Bully Theme' where the Vette did a kind of half round burn out confronting another car.

Yep, We Bad! We Bad!
