Did you already have a cam? Or not doing a cam? Or did they already swap the cam in and haven't done the DOD deletes before the pics?
Looks like they are making quick work of it. Good luck, hopefully it makes good power. Should make 750rw no problem.
They have already installed their recommended camshaft with increased fuel lobe. They plugged the DOD oil passages instead of using the DOD plate, they said they have done dozens this way with no issues.
Yes they got held up slightly on a previous build that the customer added additional work at the last minute, but they are going strong on my build now. It could be completed as early as late next week.
Thank you 750RW is very possible, or maybe a little more.
I am hoping with the port and polish, the DOD delete allowing a more aggressive cam, pulley, headers, and the E85 it will get there.
Thank you.
It's part of their valve upgrade package just on the exhaust valves.
All I know at this point is the valves are stainless steel instead of hollow, I do not know the manufacturer of the valves but I will find out.
The cam, springs, retainers, pushrods, keepers etc. are from Brian Tooley Racing.
The Cam Phaser/kit (limiter) is from Competition Cams.
The day I dropped the car off Steven showed me a stock LT4 with 12,000 miles that had broke an exhaust valve and destroyed the engine, he also mentioned another LT4 that suffered a broken valve recently. You never know when to say when on builds like this, I have owned 2 LS7 Equipped Z06's one with a cam change and one was stock. I never had any valve train failures with either one, but based on what I am doing to this car and since we where pulling the heads anyway to do the DOD delete, I thought it was a good time to swap them out.
Question for you. How did your original valves look from a coking standpoint? Just curious what you guys saw on that, and how many miles they had on them.
Nice project!! Should be a beast!! Kinda surprised they didn't use the frame pucks for the lift. Looks like everything else was protected really well!!

Hang in there - won't be long now.
I am at 12,000 miles, I talked to the tech today he said the backs of the valves were very clean. He said they are not seeing much coking as long as the RPM'S are kept in the upper range occasionally. Not much trouble for us Corvette freaks.

Thank you, yes idle video clip of the initial start up coming in a few minutes (pre tune).
I'm surprised they were able to feed it E40 on the stock fuel system, with no meth, at that much power... I guess the cam lobe is making all the difference.
Keep us posted on your opinions after you drive it. I'm currently shopping tuners here locally and Steven seems to have a pretty good rep for making power and not blowing stuff up.
I'm particularly interested in how your car shifts....Some of the other LMR cars shifting is questionable at the track.

They did not do the low side fuel system upgrade, I am probably maxed out now with out that upgrade.
I am headed to Houston, I am bringing my new Nitto 05 drag radials on 19x12 Z06 replica rear wheels, if I can work it out I am going over to TX2K and hopefully get to make some passes.
I have an M7 so it's gonna be on me with the shifting. 😀
From what I understand Steven spent pretty much all day tuning the car on E85 and may not have even taken lunch. That tells me right there that he takes a lot of pride in what he is doing. Also after all that he took the car out and drove around in normal street driveing to insure the car was tuned without any issues. I will update when I put a few miles etc on the car. 👍

Awesome man! Track prep at RPR will be off the hook...Weather is looking great too. You should make some decent passes. Good luck
Picked up the car Thursday afternoon, I can't believe how good the car sounds and runs!
Steven wanted me to bring the car back over on Friday because the Michelin's I had on the car were going away and he could not get any traction during 3-4 gear pulls. I had the Nitto's with me so we mounted those up. We took the car out to log a full pull through 3rd and 4th, I was in the passenger seat holding the lap top with Steven driving. He made 2 pulls on a frontage road off I10, he scared me to death but we survived!
The wife and I didn't get to Royal Purple Raceway until Friday around 2:30, we watched some roll racing, but By the time they started switching everything over for drag racing etc. I was just too tired to unload the car run it and reload it. So we headed home (700 mile drive) I will get it to Memphis soon to make some passes. The car accelerates like a rocket.
