Exactly what Girodisc promised
I just installed a set of rear rotors on my 2016 Corvette Z06. On the website it stated saving weight of 8.1-lb per disc, I got a saving of 8.2-lb per disc.
Below are some pictures, let me know what you all think
Weight of rear stock rotor @ 25.6-lb
Rear stock rotor
Rear Girodisc rotor installed
Weight of rear Girodisc rotor @ 17.4-lb

Wow! 8.2 lbs. less per rotor. These replace and hopefully perform as well as the stockers.
A few questions:
* How much & part #s.
* Do you have to send the originals back? I ask that because you show the old rotors in a box.
* A link to their site.
If these stand up as well as the standard steel OEM rotors they would be a great "PERFORMANCE" upgrade in my book!
I "think" the CC rotors are 10.4 lbs. less than the steel OEM rotors so these are getting close to the expensive CC brake option in weight.

Sure, I had them installed just yesterday, so far so good. I'm putting a procharger next week and will test them more
Thanks
For now I'm only doing the back, as the back ones are the ones that saved more weight, 8-lb less per rotor. The fronts are less by ~1.6-lb per rotor. Which is worth it too I believe but I want to wait until I kill the original front rotors then change the fronts
Thanks
No, you do not have to send the originals back. The back rotors set is for $950 and the front set for $1,000. Here's a link to the rotors http://www.girodisc.com/C7-Corvette_c_1344.html
I do recommend changing the brake pads with rotors replacement. I just got the OEM back brake pads from my dealer here in Houston, TX
I'm testing them now and will update on the results
Thanks
