Default What is the lower deflector function?
In the below picture, I'm trying to figure out what the primary function of number 26 is (lower deflector). I ask because mine is torn half way off and I will need to remove it in the morning before making a 1 mile pass at WOT. Appreciate it.

I believe it diverts airflow to travel up in front of the radiator...

I took mine off as the underside is completely closed from receiving airflow. I have experienced no ill affects.

It's too far back to have any air flow for the radiator.

The C5 needed it more than anything
