Is it normal that my transmission temp needle is pretty much pinned to the bottom? After driving my car for 15 or so minutes (commute to work), I haven't seen it move from when the car originally starts?

Manual or automatic? I don't believe my manual gauge moves much, if at all in normal traffic. Even on track it stays cool enough where I never even check it.

What are your ambient temps? In ~80F ambient my M7 runs 130F in 30-60mph driving, 160F during sustained highway speeds and climbs consistently to 240F by the end of a session during track events.
I have a DashCommand that shows a digital PID temp value. That OEM e-gauge with markings of unknown intervals is a joke.

A8 here and it stays cool. I just looked at the vehicle health data from my PDR using Cosworth Toolbox and on an early morning drive on The Tail of the Dragon last summer it shows a minimum transmission temperature of 99 and a maximum of 126.
Unlike most car/truck applications the automatic in the Corvette doesn't use a transmission fluid to engine coolant heat exchanger which tends to heat rather than cool the fluid under most conditions. With the dual coolers (and very large front cooler) in the Z06 the transmission will stay very cool until you start running it hard under track or similar conditions.
I noticed the same thing last year on my car. It seemed like a "dead" gauge to even have showing driving around on the street (ie. non-track.) I replaced it with the HP gauge for fun.

Ok thanks for confirming all, it is an A8 and I thought maybe the gauge was dead

Guess I'll swap trans temp out for oil pressure
OP to make yourself feel better run the car at 3200 for a while in whatever gear while driving you'll see it move did same thing thinking made no sense.
Other than that or a track event it's as cold as ice. Mine too pinned to bottom.
