Z06 sale prices
Hello,
I'm from Quebec. After 3 years without a vette, I want to buy a z06.
2015 and 2016 models with between 2000 miles and 10000 miles are priced from 97k to 115k plus tax.
The dealer told me that a new one is between 92k and 94k for the 1LZ and 3,5k more for the 2LZ... plus tax. Black on Black, 7spd
I'm confused...

Nope, at least not down here. In two years you've got a $60K car. Not a $95K car. But that's in the US, I have no real idea how the Canadian used market is.

Just my two cents I have heard waiting for 6-8 months for a car to be built just ordered mine a month ago built last week just waiting for a delivery date which should be about two weeks.

Be careful. There are many Canadian dealers that are importing cars from the US that have been flogged at the track. Do you really want one of those if you will mostly be driving your car on the street ? Ask your dealer where he got the car from and insist on a printout from his computer that shows all work done on this car and where. He has access to the complete service history of the car from the VIN. If he won't do it run away from the deal.

The only way you can get a Z06 2LZ in Canada for around $100K is to use employee pricing, this will give you about 10% discount off MSRP. A lot of Canadian owners purchased Z06's in Canada to resell them at a profit because allocation was hard to get.

Pretty easy to tell a US car from a Canadian car, just check the speedo on the dash, US will show 220MPH, Canadian car will show 300KPM

Ask your dealer if they have employee pricing, just purchased a 17 Z06 MSRP $112K or $99800.00, but I do believe it is too late this year to order under employee pricing, cutoff for orders I believe was late March. I live in Ontario

I faced the same question back in January.
There were only 4 Z06's used for sale in my area.
I had my dealer call to try and get one, as I was trading in my '15.
The selling dealers were holding fast on their prices.
Bought a new 2017 for about $10k more then a similarly equipped used '16.
That seemed worth the extra money to me.
Taking delivery end on April.

There is another way to look at this. Wait until the ZR1 is announced for order. There will be a glut of used Z06's available as everybody scrambles to get the new top dog. This will drop the used car prices of the Z06 in the US and Canada because there will be more available.

Really? I didn't think that many ZR1s would be sold and that the majority of these buyers would already have a Z06 in their garage. Lots of unfounded assumptions in that post.

GM is following the C6 playbook in how they are marketing the C7. Everything they have done mimicks the C6 run. Not surprising considering the same people are running Team Corvette.
1. They introduce the ZR1 near the end of the C7 run to further excite the brand. Note that the Z06 overheating issues diminished the brand in the eyes of some customers. This is a good move.
2. I believe the ZR1 will be very reasonably priced to convince Z06 owners to upgrade and bring new customers to the fold. They will make as many as the market will ask for. Remember this is a Chevy and not a limited edition Ferrari.
3. Lots of Z06's become available on the used market.

Not really. Here is my reasoning.

The C6 came out in 2005, the C6ZR1 came out in 2009
2005-2013 is 9 model years
2009-2013 is 5 model years
So the C6 ZR1 came out before halfway through the product life cycle.
If you think they are following the C6 plan, what's all this "end of the run" talk? At best the C7 is halfway through its life cycle....

I hear what you are saying but I really think the C7 is nearing the end. There is a lot of competition out there and cars get stale really fast. I think we will see the C8 around 2020. That's just a guess of course. Tadge did say somewhere that the C7 run will not be as long as the C6 run so if its 7 years 2020 seems about right.
