So long story that i will try to shorten. Yesterday i wanted to bring the z06 out of hybernation. I was a good boy and had the cig charger on all winter and time to time look and make sure green light was on. I lowered it down from the lift and i tried to start it and was completely dead. What i did wrong was NOT remove the tab on the corvette charger. My bad. So i took the key apart and opened the trunk and put charger on it and that solved it problem for the most part. I left the cig charger on the trunk adaptor overnight and today it started up easy. I popped the trunk and put the charger in the trunk and was going to head into work. When i started it and sat in it, it said the trunk was still open. I went out and nope its closed. HMMM. I drove to work and figure when its light out and warm i will tinker with it. I tried the FOB and nothing. I started car and tried the button on dash and nothing. I tried the key under the bumper and turned it but cannot open it. WTF. So what do i do now. still says that trunk open, which it isnt. Cant open the convertible cause it says trunk open.
It's a long shot, but I'd use the key to open it, close it again, remove the negative post for a minute, and reconnect. Maybe the physical state of the lock is now out of sync with the "logical" state, so the computer thinks it's backwards.
In other words, "Maybe it's a bug, have you tried rebooting?"

The Problem is i cannot open the trunk, i have tried the key, fob and the button in the car. jammed up.
I think I understand what you are saying, but the key above the rear tag should mechanically give you access to the trunk/battery. Maybe push down on it a little first and then reinsert the key and pop it open. Sometimes it's a little finicky using the "real" key.
Cycle the convertible top down completely and all the way up completely. This will allow the trunk to sense that the top is all the way up or down and then it will open.
Sorry I see that you said that the top won't move because the trunk appears to be open. Hope disconnecting battery works for you.

When you get this sorted out, get a regular battery charger to fully charge the battery. Your battery was totally dead and needs more than a trickle charger to bring up to a full charge. You could drove it for hours but it's easier on the alternator and wallet to get a good battery charger.

exactly. Get a proper trickle charger and connect directly to the battery
the op's battery is probably toast. I wouldn't chance stressing out the alternator. I would get a new battery. These cars, with the high tech electronics will do weird stuff that is not explainable when a questionable battery is in continued use.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
