Default BMS Intake Filter Performance

Anybody running with the Burger Motorsports intake filter? How is that working out (particularly interested in hearing from those running with no tune).

Yes they forced us to sign up as a vendor to discuss my filter project. I guess my Z06 is depreciating a few hundred per month as is what's a few hundred more to support the Z06 forum?

I've asked them to reopen the thread so we don't have to recreate weeks of posts and data on it.

I imagine some of the cold air intake vendors/creators cried to the mods.

But anyways, back to your question - I am running it. Car is stronger compared to stock. It is all I have right now. I am adding borla x pipe and Tony Mamo PTB soon. Borla is sitting at home and TM PTB is being shipped this week (I hope). I have about 45 miles on it. So far I still feel gains - not sure if car will adjust and 're-learn' and I'll lose the gains but 45 miles so far.

Also have it. Green filter picked up power over stock. BMS even more power. No tune and I've tried and sold many CAI. This filter is a win.

Terry is really helping the community. He's not going to make much money off filters. I have his, Green and stock to test in a totally stock 2017.

The economics of the project are depressing. We'd have to sell maybe 30 filters per month to cover the Z06 depreciation and sponsorship costs, forget paying anyone for labor. But if nothing else it's a fun little project and I'm happy to give back to the community I've been a part of since my old C5 days in the early 2000s.

only had the car for 2 days before dropping it off for some more work but i can honestly say the car was a night and day difference and for the price, hard to argue against it. I also installed my borla xpipe the same day but obviously shouldn't make much of a power difference.

BMS filter is a good mod for untuned applications.

Sorry for all you may have been through. I, for one, really appreciate all the information you have shared, and will probably be a customer at some point down the road.

Thanks Terry.
Much appreciated!! I ordered 2 of them.

I was running your JB4 tune and Intake on my F30 BMW. Definitely could feel the extra power.

Can't wait for your Z06 Filters to arrive

As this is a dry filter, what's the maintenance procedure, does it need to be replaced much like the stock filter when dirty?

So you run no CAI? I have the Halltech CAI but haven't installed it yet.

It's Basil from Yorktown C&C by the way.

Hey man. Yeah I sold both my Halltech CAIs as I never liked the fitment. I'm running this filter in the stock housing. The car appears completely stock but has all the mods I'm looking for...at this time. You should head up to my place some time and check it all out. You've got to try the DSC that's on my car. Game changer. I'm on Deans Corner Road in Brewster. Let me know.

Best,
Gene
