Default Re-setting tire light???

ok so I run 30psi in the front but have nitto05r drag radials in the back and run 20psi and of course the light comes on and stays on, is there anyway to re-set the light and have it stay off ??

Once you bring the pressure back up in the drag radials after the track it should clear.

If you mean you didn't spend $34 for extra sensors in the spare wheels, then I don't know. I'm assuming your rears have sensors. If not, you're likely hooped. Fronts only won't work. All four or none, I believe.

Ah... with this car you just park and leave it alone for 20 minutes and it'll figure it out. What you're supposed to do if, for example, you're changing wheels and leaving right away I don't know.

With mine if I change the wheels and let it sit, it just figured it out.

No, car off, not running. Just let it sit there off. Mine wasn't locked, don't know if that matters or not.

Park it and grab a coffee, give it 25 minutes, it should be set!

ok so just to be 100% did you put them on and then move the car and then park it or once the tires were installed you just locked it walked away and 25 min later moved it?

All of the C7's have self learning TPMS's. As long as the psi is high enough it will kill the warning light after a short while. BTW I use Nitto NT05R's and just go down to 24-25 psi. It hooks decently at that pressure isn't causing a warning light. Just FYI.

To the OP, if you are running the tires at 20 PSI the warning light is going to come on since the TPMS system doesn't "learn" the proper tire pressure for the tire; it is programmed (in the vehicle, not the sensor) for the acceptable pressure range for stock tires and will set a warning if your desired operating pressure is lower than what it thinks is acceptable for stock wheels.

I guess someone needs to sell purposefully miscalibrated TPMS sensors for those who have a wheel/tire combo that requires a lower pressure than stock.

The tire pressure has to be above 25 or 26 psi for the car to turn off the light. Why do you care whether the light is on? Since you know why it is on and you aren't going to do anything about it why worry about it. It is just a light.

Yup. Had a cup of coffee, watched a Seinfeld rerun, whatever people do to kill time, and then I drove it again and it was all paired up. Once I left it overnight but the second time was only about half an hour.
