Default Is this normal?

I ran the car for 10 mins, shut it off and popped the hood. I came back 2 hours later and could still fry an egg on the supercharger lid. I've never experienced an engine bay that retains heat like this car....

Can't wait for the Winter! Auxiliary heater for the garage. Joking, noticed the same situation today however the temp in N.Y. was around 98 degrees !! Keep in mind that when you "compress" air it gets hot. Ask any aircraft mechanic who has worked on engines on military planes. Open the hood as I do once I get into the garage at home. Keep in mind that you have 650 H.P. in a supercharged engine!! A work of genius as far as I am concerned and if it brakes it has a warranty !

Your super charger was spinning at 20,000+ RPM. Then you turned the car off so no coolant or airflow was going over it. I wouldn't be surprised it it was still very hot. Especially if it was outside in the sunlight.

All superchargers get toasty... Had a couple GT500s. Same thing...

Although, only 10 minute and frying an egg two hours later? That might be a bit much, or you just discovered a new unconventional renewable energy source.
