2 days ago check engine lite came on. Took it in this am. Diagnostics ran & this code came up:P26C5 (Exhaust flow control valve/control circuit). Service mgr. came to wait room, told me what code was found & when they checked circuit for exhaust it showed open, then they quickly found fuse #42 was missing. They replaced it & code cleared. I also quickly fessed up that I had pulled it several months ago & was like "wonder why it showed up after many months"? I have no clue. Anyone else seen this after pulling fuse? Will wait till several more drives before "probably" pulling fuse again but worry they may charge me to clear code/problem if it happens again. Anyone else? Only other mods are Borla X-Pipe & Mamo ported TB. Funny, cause last nite I replaced TB back to OE TB 'cause if that had somehow caused it, I didn't want them them to replace it or somehow figure out it wasn't theirs & not be able to get Mamo's back Will also wait several drives before re-installing Mamo's. Sorry this is so l-o-n-g!

Guys maybe it was hard to find in my long original post. All I'm asking is "Has anyone else thrown a code P26C5 (exhaust flow control valve/control circuit)? Or had check engine lite come on attributed to the fuse 42 being pulled? Thank you!

I have the Mamo TB and Borla X-pipe and I pulled fuse 42 the day I bought the car off the showroom 1 year ago. Mine is a 2016 M7. 5,700 miles on the car, about 2,000 with the TB and X-pipe. Never threw a code. Odd that yours would. Can't help you as to why.
Yeah, guess I'll leave the fuse in rather take chance of getting another code. Wasn't that big of deal since I'm seldom below 2000 rpm anyway! Will put the Mamo TB back on cause I did like that.
Madrob- I had the same issue an was surprised however to be told pulling the fuse throws a code only the technician can see. I assume no long term issues but he said it would continue to generate the code with fuse pulled. Tech told me it is a level “b” code and system will continue to register it. I pulled my fuse the day I bought the car and had no issues till I got a tank of bad fuel and had to bring it in to dealer. Codes came up when he ran diagnostics. Makes me wonder all the talk of no code pulling fuse is actually correct. Perhaps others that have pulled fuse could have the tech check when car is serviced and report back results.

THE CUSTOMER INFORMED US THAT HE HAD REMOVED THE FUSE FOR THE EXHAUST FLOW CONTROL WHICH CONFIRMS THE CODE P26C5

I've had the fuse pulled on my 16 over two years ago. No codes. The poster who suggested getting a code reader was right on. I keep one in the rear compartment and it was very helpful when the car threw a code at the track. In your case if you got a cel again, at least you could see what it was. If it was your pulled fuse code, just clear it and be on your way instead of wasting time with an appointment at the dealership.
Just thinking out loud here, but wondering if you happened to run the car in ECO mode. The Z06's don't have AFM valves before the mufflers and probably close the NPP valves, partially or fully, when the engine runs in V4 mode. In cars with both sets of exhaust valves, pulling the NPP fuse (41 or 42 depending upon year) doesn't set a diagnostic code, but pulling the fuse for the AFM valves will set a code. Maybe running the Z06 in V4 mode with fuse 42 pulled will set a code whereas running in V8 mode will not. Have any of you folks with the fuse pulled run in V4 mode to check this out?
Autos wil go to V4 mode on their own I hate this but in Eco mode on trip to look after my 7 year old grandson who broke his arm I managed 28 MPG in 16 auto Z06 bone stock exhaust set to track mode. That was 877 miles to NJ Yankee land for a southern boy. I may try fuse 42 to see how she sounds.
