*Ode to the original 63 GS and Z06 in pics/ Delivery post 6/25/17 and throwback pics~
~Having a Corvette conversation with anyone can reach back 65 years so I know judging by the age of whom I am speaking with what Generation Corvette we will land on...which is fine by me as I have owned every Generation Corvette but a C3(1968-1982). Yesterday I am speaking with a Gentleman on the showroom floor and he marvels at the technology of todays generation Corvette. The 7th Generation truly is a fantastic Sports car...especially for any Corvette enthusiast that has owned many of the cars from the past. Can it be improved on? Thats what the Corvette engineers work on every single day for future product. Stay tuned my friends as this next year will be exciting.
~Jeff H. Of Hopewell Junction, New York was advised by a relative to check out my inventory as he had bought a 2012 Corvette ZR1 from me. Jeff found 140 Corvettes in my inventory and narrowed it down to two. Jeff decided on this new 2017 Grand Sport Convt in Watkins Glen Gray Metallic with two tone gray interior. Other features that stand out are the Red seat belts, Auto trans, chrome wheels, navigation/PDR, 2LT and Gray power top. Jeff and his friend and son drove 300 miles down to see me yesterday and within 90 minutes they were headed back North to NY. This is one stunning color combo.
~Tom P. of Ellicott City,Maryland orders two new Corvettes every year for himself and his son. These 2018 Corvette Grand Sports were two of the first built on the first day of production. The Black GS is vin# 52 and the Watkins Glen Gray is vin#30.
Tom ordered his Gray GS with CF good stripe, CF badge Pkg, red calipers, auto trans, black wheels, CF mirrors and 1LT Pkg. His son TJ ordered a Black GS with Yellow hash marks to match the yellow calipers, CF badge Pkg, auto trans, black wheels and 1LT Pkg. They traded in a 17 GS and a 17 Red Stingray. Tom refers probably 5-6 Corvette customers my way each year.
the trades...
Other deliveries that left the yard this week....
~Tony Avedisian owns one of the best Corvette repair and restoration shops just two miles from my house and he lives only one mile away...Tony has a new book coming out very soon.
...which leads into my old pics of the original Grand Sports and Z06's.
circa 1963...
~Some really good pics from Lemans 2017...
~Throwback pics of Corvettes from all generations...
Have a great week...

Great thread Mike. Been out of the house since 7am Matt and I enjoying the cars all day today. Saw lots of vettes Z06's included today, but I can tell you of the 6 or 7 Z06's none were like the ones we bought from you last year. And many came over to check them out as the 10 blade spoke wheels attract a lot of attention. From some angles they look so complex and deep!
The pics of the 63 GS are very cool. But the one that really caight my eye was that black C1. Sonething about it just really looks proper. Like nostalgic but still very relevant.. beautiful. And thanks for doing this week in and out. The smiles you bring to All of us when people take delivery as we remember that feeling ourselves. We get to relive that moment. Not all of us can pull off a 2 vette trade every year lol. God bless that guy.

"In honor of jpee"
That' a very good theme-thread---Nassau Speed Weeks, 1963, the Grand Sports and the recent Le Mans race. Truly great pics of all of them, and the newest owners.

The '63 was pretty cool, and I always enjoy reading about the Vette's heritage.
