I think your just really paying attention to it now after you threw the code.
Thank you. That's very possible. I do recall that if I was in a high gear and floored it, the boost would fly up more or less regardless of the RPM. The car is at the dealer now. I'm having them do the 45k fluid change while we're at it and everything else I could think of. We'll see how she runs and what the issue was when I get it back.

Update: Not that you all may care but someone in the future may have the same issue.

Dropped off car a few days back with CEL. They reset light and tried to get a snapshot of it coming back and couldn't. They called me today and said take the tech for a ride. I got there and he plugged in the laptop and off we went. After some aggressive, but sub 100, pulls he saw the code on his laptop. There was still no CEL. He said that the code must be thrown for three ignition cycles before the light comes on. He had the data he needed and saw that the wastegate [is it still a wastegate on a charger?] was open and not putting in the boost. The car still felt slow for a Z. He pressed a button on the laptop to close it and boom power was back. He said it's a shame because you could just tune this out in the aftermarket but then the warranty is gone. Now that he has a snapshot of the issue and saw that there was non match between MAP and errrr something else he can continue working on it. He'll probably start on changing the sensor. I'm glad I don't have an oiled filter in there while they're trying to figure this one out. If the new sensor doesn't do it they'll probably call in the regional tech. In the mean time I got all the fluids changed for the 45k service to get it in the best possible fighting shape.

To be continued...

Best,
Gene

Glad you found a solution Gene. I think cars are reaching the "space shuttle" problem: so many parts that even a very high individual component reliability rate results in multiple expected system failures over a short period of time.

Update:

Picked the car up from the dealer. They changed two sensors, not sure which yet as they didn't finish the paperwork. After about 2 miles the CEL came back on with the same code. After a Google search I found the other thread that's now towards the top of someone else who had the same issue on a new Z in 2014. Frankly the comments in that thread make a lot more sense to me and what I'm experiencing but I appreciate everyone offering their help. I'll drop the car back off Monday morning with a printout of the forum.

Here's that other thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-37-miles.html

Best,
Gene

For future googling reference they changed out the supercharger solenoid. Computer showed it activated, I was able to move it freely, but when the dealer was checking it out they said it fell apart in their hands. Car is holding boost and running as it should.
