C7Z Videos of 2017 WannaGoFast Virginia
Here are a few vids of my recent races from the 2017 WannaGoFast event in Virginia July 30th.
For those interested in weather details, the conditions were quite nice, at low-80’s most of the day, sea level pressure 30.18, elevation 3,792 ft, average wind speed was 4mph and was a tail wind for most of the day.
These were great racing conditions. I ran my car with standard sized Cup2s and had a hard time hooking up all the way through 4th gear. I have a 7 speed. My top speed of the day was 150.049mph with an average run of 149.05mph. I got in around 12-14 runs on Sunday.
Background: This was my second run of the day against an SRT Challenger. For those interested, I am using the new Garmin Virb Ultra 30 recorder and I really like it! It has a lot more parameters to overlay than what I display on this video (including voice activation which you hear me shout towards the end).
Background: Let me start off by saying how satisfied I was with these two videos. The fella that owned the Hellcat talked up a big game the day prior to the races and commented how C7Zs always ended up in his rear mirror…blah, blah, blah. In one of our races (which he lost) he ‘claimed’ that he was distracted by his telephone and gave up the launch (so I took the lead). He also claimed to have lost traction on one of his runs BUT look closely and you will notice I was well ahead of him long before he broke traction. C7Zs rock!...that’s why he lost ;- )
Background: This purple Hellcat belongs to a nice guy fella that I met at the event. He had recently dynoed his car at high-600s RWHP. We ran three races and I consistently pulled away from him at the top of second through third gear. On one occasion, the lights were down and I got the jump on him.
Background: I raced this very interesting looking Lexus RCF. The owner had a modified turbo, putting down 640s RWHP (if remember correctly). You’ll notice that on a couple of occasions he seems a bit anxious to race or perhaps is attempting to intimidate the C7Z! He got the jump on me but I quickly reeled him in by the 2nd gear and pulled away hard thereafter.

Thanks! Also have a granatelli expansion tank.
They blamed their loss on lack of traction. However, if i wasn't careful, I too would lose traction in every gear (1-4). So, winning, is also about knowing your car! No excuses.

Drifting
Was great chatting with you that day and always fun to smoke Hellcats....I really enjoyed the stomping i put on the Gen V viper. Funny all the **** people talk about the C7Z til they actually race one with a good driver.
I was in the yellow vert (Bone stock M7) my best pass of the day was 150.401 and that came after idling in stageing lane all the way up with the A/C on.

agreed. Prior to racing several cars but hearing them talk about how much faster their cars are on the street, I wondered if I'd be able to keep up....the evidence is in the vids
