Tow Hook
Hello to all,
I would like to know if you have the tow hook delivered with your Z built for US market. Let me know. Otherwise, I shall take that of ZL1 Addons which is very attractive and so racing.
Expecting your responses before order. Thanks. Richard

Thank you all guys ! My friends who have the european Z said me it's impossible to use the tow hook OEM. Now, after reading ZL1 addons, I know why ! I'll order today the ZL1 red tow hook. I want to let it all time on the Z, hope it will not attract the greed ...
OEM tow hook

Does your front tow hook bend your grill? It looks like on mine I have to bend the front grill for it to align.
Mine bends the grille blade that is just above the tow hook when the hook is installed. I use the hook to winch my car onto the trailer and there is sufficient up and down movement along with a certain amount of twisting that the tow hook has cracked that blade. For some reason the standard Stingray/Z51 grilles have a removable section there. Not sure why GM didn't copy that into the Z06 grille.
I had to tow my car on two different occasions and both times the tow truck drivers refused to tow my car with ZL1 aftermarket tow hook. They said the rule is to use only OEM tow hook for lability and safety reasons. Both times had to tip the two drivers to shut up and just tow the car and still wasn't easy to convince them. I am considering to order OEM hook just in case.

Awesome !
I thought it was only in France that you could find idiotic and useless aces of the procedure !The mobile ring is however a solution representing much more security and especially for your car! I don't regret my Magassist purchase and above all, I can leave it in place giving it a racer look, which the OEM can't compete with.
How are people finding their ZL1 hooks stand up? I have the black hooks and the metal hex screws that attach the eye are rusting like hell. Took them apart, etched and clear coated them - rust is back a few months later. I don't even take the car out in the rain....
