He looks like he is having fun but I'm not feeling it! Seeing this is not helping. Side is no better than the front . Which is well Lots of parts off the better looking brother the Z06.

To each their own and I get the big wing is a love/hate thing...HOWEVER, anyone who thinks the ZR1 doesn't look better than the Z06 needs a cranial adjustment. Kidding, but seriously, What's not to like?
Pure speculation...BUT....
Possibly No Spats = better
More HP = better
TQ = better
Cooling = better
Handling = better
Optional Wing = better
Exclusivity = better
Price = worse
Overall a more masculine look. Not sure why someone would choose the Z06 over the new ZR1...if you don't like the big wing, get the small wing or put the stage 3 Z06 nascar flap (wicker bill) on the back, lol.
I own a Z06 and LOVE IT...but I'd take the new ZR1 over it in a heartbeat from what I've seen so far. Again, to each their own...some people just have a hard to time admitting when something is better. We won't know for sure until it's released...but 99.9% chance it's better.

Nobody is saying that the car will be inferior to the Z06 in any way, so yes you are correct that the car will be better in those aspects especially with it being more exclusive, but we still aren't even sure on the price point yet, could be $15k more than the Z06 base and that is not bad at all because it would still be UNDER 100k but to be fully loaded would most likely be well over 120k while I can select all the options I want on the Z and spend 111k and use the extra for goodies to make the car better than the ZR1. (From a speculaton standpoint)
The part I am referring to is the practicality. I am in the position to be able to buy either car and feel that I will be able to drive the Z06 anywhere and in any situation vs being a guy who is driving to the grocery store to show off his track car. I would buy the ZR1 solely for track but knowing me the vette would definitely be more of a street car.
Besides track prep costs more money as well and budget wise I will have extra cash for a FULL build with a z06 than I would buying the ZR1
Taking off the wing is of course the option you have, but knowing me, I would want the wing to be on at ALL times because the car will most likely look and be unbalanced without the wing.
**The red car rendering is sick af, but in reality I don't think the car will look that smooth. The hood has a bigger bulge and I don't think the front view of the car will be that smooth but maybe it is just the way the tape is hanging off of the car. Kinda don't like the wings overall sitting position but I would need to see it in person for sure.

HP/Performance aside, I really think the Z06 should get the same front bumper and additional airflow engineering for 2019 due to the proven cooling issues. I hope the promised GM "fix" isn't just the $40K ZR1 upgrade.

I wasn't even a fan of the C7 when it first came out and now I love it, so opinions do change over time, but at the moment... nope.
I do like the front for the most part though!

That wing is to shut the Viper guys up, the front cooling cheeks and shaker hood is to shut the z06 overheat crowd up. Its going to be an animal. That little wing has to be some sort of a joke. I hope it looks like the pictures and not the mule cars.
