Ground Effects Kits
Learning where I can...and especially can't...take the Z06 with it's low clearance I cracked a rocker extension. Right now the car has the basic poor splitter and 3/4 rocker extensions. Being an opportunity to install the Stage 2 ground effects, I'm kinda overwhelmed with the options. I could use a bit of help sorting through the OEM vs aftermarket offerings. Specifically:
1) OEM will, I assume, work perfectly, but runs north of $3.5k. I don't see the carbon fiber look for the rockers. I'd like the carbon fiber exposed look.
2) Aftermarket seem to differentiate between "base" and "GS and Z06" as separate offerings, while the OEM does not. Do all rocker extensions fit the Z06 body?
3) Preferring not to drill extra mounting holes, are there any aftermarket you guys know about that should be avoided? Do they all mount to factory spec?
I guess the condensed question is...is it worth spending on the OEM, or are there good equivalent aftermarket options?
