Default Lots of new C7 Z06 owners posting!

Welcome to the Forum! To the many members posting lately with new Z06 purchases! The Z06 is a sports car with a big fan club we gather here to talk about our cars and enjoy the huge aftermarket of parts for these cars! Hard to beat the performance a C7 Z06 offers.
At an somewhat affordable entry price.

Had a valet the other night ask me what was wrong with my car and proceed to tell me that he's driven "plenty of these" and they never make that sound or shudder.

Where in Salem do you live? We retired and moved from West Salem to Wenatchee WA. Lived in Salem for 20 years and had a white C5 convertible down there. Now have a C7 Z06 convertible.

Cheers,

I'm in south Salem 80 miles from my home by the coast. Bet you missed Oregon when you put plates on your C7Z! 4 year tag for 200 can't be beat!

That is one advantage of the non runflats that goes away.
With the runflats it is back!

Joined the club myself last week. I had been lurking for a while. With these temps in the teen's and twenty's traction has been an issue so stock form is fine for now

I'll take the rain over ice and snow and cold anytime. Ave winter day seems about 45 here. Where I grew up is -9 and -13 the next two days. With snow on the ground! Yeah I'll take some rainy days but sunny and 50's mixed in is not bad for winter.

I have noticed more new posts for purchasing the Z06 too! Many thought with the introduction of the ZR1, sales for the Z06 would drop because of it losing it's top performance spot in the Corvette lineup. With the large price differential between the two and decent discounts on the Z06...I can see why the Z06 is a great alternative!
I have an '18 Z06 1LZ 7M Coupe and I believe for the money spent it, is the best performance Corvette you can buy!

GM incentives lately are so good that many who were sitting on the side jumped in, like me
25% off on a new Z was too hard for me to resist

I have an '18 ZO6 7M also, just cracked 1,000 miles before I parked it for the winter. I already have an MGW shifter on order and a few more mods planned, and for not a lot of $$ I should be at or above ZR1 HP levels. So far, I'm really liking the car, money was never the issue when ordering a ZO6, I've had and driven a lot of great cars, including a couple Porsches. I drove both a 911 Turbo and a GT3RS, both cost nearly double what the ZO6 cost, but on track day the ZO6 will leave both looking at the tail lights.

I am 34 and a few years ago if you had told me I’d be buying a brand new 2018 2lz zo6 auto I would have thought you were out of your mind since most unethical dealers were selling them for 20k over msrp. I just paid around $77k for a car that has an msrp of almost $90k. Kinda feel bad for anyone who bought the same car as mine in 2015 with all those first year issues and got robbed paying well over $100k for it.

I recently sold my modded LS7 C5 Z06 and am on a list for a new ZR1, but am now considering a left over 7spd Z07 instead. For $65,000 less after the crazy discounts, it is just really hard to justify for 105hp and some carbon aero. Now that the excitement has warn off a bit in my head, I’m thinking I’d be dumb not to jump on one of these. Also, while the Corvette contingent won’t likely care, this option allows me to keep my 2015 GT-R daily driver which I’ve surprisingly grown to really love. The ZR1 would’ve required a more sensible commuter like a WRX.

I’m pretty excited about a potential Z07 car, how do other new owners think I’ll enjoy it? Anyone else also skip the C6 gen and jump right from a C5 like I’ll be doing? Performance will be similar, but I’m guessing the overall experience will be a larger jump than I’m even expecting, right?
