I picked my car up from the dealer yesterday after getting the Mag ride update. I only drove it about 20 miles after so not a real good test but, I'm not overly impressed. I do notice the steering is a little stiffer and the ride is SLIGHTLY less harsh over small bumps in Tour mode, but Sport and Track feel about the same to me. Not nearly the improvement I was expecting based on the reviews here...Maybe my butt dyno is not nearly as sensitive as some here but...I was expecting a bit more in the softening of the ride in Tour/Sport.
In my opinion, save your $350 if you are considering this just for a driver/cruiser, it may help on the track some how but....it damn sure doesn't make it ride like a Caddy if that's what you are expecting.

The proper procedure is to let the car sit overnight before making a judgement.
Did you do that yet?

It MAY have sat 10 hrs after the dealer did the update, I'm not sure. They had the car for 2 days, just not sure when they flashed it.

Let us know how it goes....

The only thing changing in this firmware update is computer code; nothing physically is changed within the shock body itself.

Most likely to reset the zero load ride height or whatever is used to establish baseline sensor readings.

The MRC damper system has a built-in temperature offset correction as part of the calibration.
Chevrolet Performance recommends allowing the vehicle to sit for 8 to 10 hours after flash of
Calibration and prior to spirited driving. This step does not need to be done at the dealership and
can be done at the customer's convenience. Allowing the vehicle to sit will allow the damper
temperatures to normalize, and the temperature offset in the calibration to accurately reset. The
vehicle is still functional prior to sitting for 8-10 hours. However, the temperature offset correction
will be less accurate, resulting in a less optimized operation until the damper temperatures
normalize.

I made a short drive in it last night before the weather got crappy. Didn't get to take it on any good "test" roads but.... Tour mode does seem a bit softer after it sat over night. It was pretty noticeable now.
I'm still not sure it was worth the money for me but...I can tell a slight improvement in ride quality in Tour mode. In Sport mode, I can't detect any difference but.....Normally I stay in Tour mode.
I didn't mind spending the money for the update though....I just want everything to be current on the car.
Anything that makes it ride softer is a plus for the bumpy Houston roads.

Just got the upgrade w/ track option for my Z06 w/ Z07 and the improvement in Tour was substantial. On the NYC/ surrounding areas roads, the old Tour was punishing regardless of how slow the car travelled, even at 5-10 mph. The new Tour manages the same bumps - even the worst, poorly-maintained roads you can imagine, so much better that the ride is now very acceptable. Body control is better, but without the previous jarring motions that used to rock the whole car from side to side.
The new Sport felt more compliant than even the old Tour, and definitely not as harsh as the old Sport. However, I had rarely driven in the old Sport so do not have an extensive comparison.
Have not had a chance to extensively evaluate the new calibrations on consistently-smooth roads so unsure if the upgrade would be equally worthwhile for areas with well-maintained roads, or for non-Z07s. For my application, the new calibrations have transformed the livability of the car.

No guarantee that they reprogrammed the module, but it will show up in TDS as available if you purchased the calibration. Here is mine.

Question Please?:
What do these acronyms that I see connected with this mean?
1) TIS
2) SPS Info
3) TDS
.

TIS- Techline Information System
SPS- Service and Programming Subscriptions
TDS- Technical Delivery/Data (depending who you ask) System
Most people use them interchangeably since they encompass the programming gamut.
The article below may help to clarify the different capabilities.

After putting about 200 miles on my car last night, driving through all types of different road surfaces and testing the different modes, I can definitely tell the improvement in Tour mode for sure, and a slight improvement in ride quality in Sport. I notice the steering feels "different"...I can't say that its any better or worse, but it does feel different. My car always felt stable at speeds so I can't detect any improvement there but.. The ride quality in Tour mode is worth the $350. I guess it really does just need time to calibrate and adjust after the flash.
