Default Need Callaway SC757 advice

Am considering the SC757 upgrade to my 2016 Z06. Base package does not include any exhaust upgrade / modifications. Will I receive all the benefits enabled by the upgrade if I keep the OEM exhaust system? Would the addition of a set of headers be advisable? Comments please. Thanks.

I have a 2016 Z06 M7 Callaway without the exhaust but with the shift linkage mod. Their exhaust does not add any performance or HP. Headers should not add much performance, are noisier and stock headers are well designed. The shift linkage works very well. The engineering of the entire upgrade is well done.
If you have mileage on the car, the warranty will be reduced accordingly.
Enjoy the conversion!

did you buy your c7z with the callaway package or did you have the car and drive it a while then send it off to callaway?

Why not just call up Reeves Callaway and ask him or someone in his engineering department?

The Callaway Sport Exhaust Option provides a deeper, more powerful sound, but as pointed out, no additional peak horsepower. It's to most, a more mature and deep/powerful sounding system.

Long tube headers, not advisable. Thank you - C.

Not advisable with your set up, or at all. Why/why not?

Thanks

OP - Callaway's exhaust doesn't add to performance, but if you can comfortably swing it, I say go for it. It's a huge improvement over the stock exhaust, and I'm very happy I included it on my package.

Callaway sticks to Federal emissions standards... long tubes headers or additional tuning void the warranty.

To remove or relocate a functioning catalytic convertor or other emissions control device(s) is a violation of Federal Law, The Clean Air Act of 1990.

I have a 2017 Callaway 757 M7 without the exhaust, but i thought while researching my decision on the exhaust someone at Callaway said it gains 7 HP somewhere in the RPM range.

On SC627 cars, it does gain 7 peak hp. But not on the SC757. Thanks

Most I know who have LT headers end up disliking them due to cracked collectors, flange issues, poor fitment issues, and not being able to pass their state emissions tests without a wing and prayer. Performance-wise, it would be not be worthwhile in our opinion.

I have a 16 Z06 Callaway and considered their exhaust, primarily because of the it looks. Like the D shapes.
The reason I did not include it is simply because I like the sound of the factory system period. You can't go wrong whichever way you choose.
BTW the Callaway package will leave you breathless.

Callaway warranty mirrors GM's. They do not extend it past the factory warranty, mileage or months of warranty. 3yr. 36,000

The ones with the issues like your talking about are buying cheap headers.
China knock offs etc. But when you buy a quality header. The issues are you mentioned are just not there.

I have ran 3 ARH that I have drop shipped to JETHOT for coating.
On my last 3 new Corvette's.
You simply cannot compare it to stock exhaust. The coated header is far superior.

My current 2015 Z06 picked up 36 rwhp with even more under the curve with tune and headers over the stock exhaust.

The car loses about 30-35 pounds of weight mostly towards the front.

You lose two huge cereal box size superheated cats connected to the
heavy hot cast or stainless heavy manifolds.

ALL Replaced by 4 lightweight coated tubes..

Your under the hood temperatures are noticeably reduced and oil temps and running temps are slightly reduced as well.
Cooling is more effective.
The 2300 supercharger will work better with headers installed but they can be illegal for them to install them.
My car is being prepped for the 2300 install later this next week
