Default Z06/Z07 caliper clearance issue

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the brake caliper to wheel clearance from the standard Z06 brakes compared to the Z07 option brakes?

Thank you for your help!

Yes there is reduced clearance due to the larger CCB.

Thank you. So I assume the actual rim diameter of the factory wheels is interchangeable between standard Z06 and the Z07 brake option, or are they different?

The Z06 & Z07 use the same wheels.

You can run an 18 inch wheel over the ceramic brakes. I run CCW Corsair Series C10 18x11 wheels on the front of my car with no issues. There was plenty of clearance between the wheel and the larger CCM caliper. I originally ran them on my 2008 C6Z. Not sure what the offset was but CCW would know what they provide for the cars.

Interesting that you can run the smaller diameter wheel with no clearance issues. Thanks for the information.

Just be really careful if you're changing wheels so you don't bang the wheel against the rotors in risk of chipping them. Make sure to use the rotor protector pillows that GM supplies with Z07 packages and I also suggest using a set of wheel removal guides that you screw into the lug screws so that the wheels slide straight off without touching the rotors.

I'm curious what the ID measurement is for your 18" CCW wheel that it has no clearance issues with the Z07 brake caliper. Do you happen to know?

We can run Forgeline 18/18 with the ceramics no problem. GS1R, GA3R or Ga1R.
