I have had on the 06Z06 and now the 2011 ZR1 the NPP bi-modal exhaust system so very aware of how it works with the exhaust baffle butterflies. They are either full open or fully closed. However, I now have the 19 Z06 and love how the exhaust note becomes more loud and aggressive by simply switching from Touring to Sport suspension mode and not completely dependent on engine rpm. Do the exhaust butterflies open fully or does the C7 programming modulate those butterflies to be just partially open while at idle and cruising speeds??

most of the stock programming is open/close but with a program like HPTuners one can adjust their functionality.

The car is more fast than I can handle so any performance gains by more horsepower or reduced weight mean nothing to me. Also I bought a 10 year/100k zero deductible bumper 2 bumper warranty on the car and dont want to void it.

In my case would it make sense to get an aftermarket exhaust to make it sound louder.
Leave it stock..... I have a '19 Z Vert. Not my daily driver, but find the stock exhaust nice. The car has plenty of Hp stock and I dont worry about throwing codes or voiding warraty.....

I'm sorry but damn that thing sounds MEAN. For $2200 bucks, it sure isn't cheap.

If you are doing X pipe only, no other mods to a auto zo6 what is the sound difference between a borla and Corsa?

My plans for now. Just going to be adding the Borla X pipe. I will be soon picking up my new 2019 Z06 this week. As of now I’m not touching the factory exhaust. I already ordered my X pipe.

I've tossed the idea around for a while. I have long tubes, xpipe/cat delete and it sounds badass with the stock exhaust. The only thing I don't like about the OE exhaust are the tips. It doesn't take much for them to look like crap.

Fidelity. I work for their parent company so I paid $2950 + tax for it which is internal cost. For a regular customer the retail price would be around $5-$6k.

That's also my set up and I love it! TSP LT offroad x-pipe and stock catback. The cold start and WOT is mean as hell but very quite when driven below 4k RPMs.

So if I am just getting the corsa X pipe now I guess I can add in the full corsa "Extreme" exhaust later on with a bmc air filter for even better sound and no warranty voiding issues???

Which brand long tubes/x-pipe do you have?

Borla X-Pipe for me. Car sounds amazing. I keep the exhaust setting on track. It’s a loud effing car I don’t want anything louder.

If youre contemplating it, start with an x-pipe

It's quit in touring mode which is very nice on long Hwy drives, but loud in sport and track mode.

yep. My buddy has his that way.

And man is that thing ridiculous at wot... even at idle it's so much louder than mine.

ps. The white Z06 runs 9.7 @144 and the Hellcat just ran 9.30 yesterday forgot exact mph high 140s. So unassuming.
