LOL, 3 Z06ZR1 has never shown much of a tendency to back down, regardless of how many times he has been trounced by experience and logic. He seems to be in another world, perhaps that of excessive pot smoking?

Note to anyone reading this thread.....

PUTTING MM CATCH CAN ON A STOCK Z06 WILL STILL LEAD TO BLACK TIPS. Im a dealer for them also and dont want any vendor to get a paypal claim on them because of wrong info on this post.

Not just the MM catch can it is removal of the stock PCV valve under the blower. It is replaced by one that no longer vents to the blower. So you don't get all the combustion by product from your crankcase sucked in to your blower and thus through your intercooler. That will look like this. Intercooler is getting plugged with oil and residue from the crank case venting to the blower.

You no longer have any reason to remove your lid and your blower stays clean..

BIZZARO WORLD. Not wrong no matter how many vendors/can users/engineers, etc., refute him.

Dead wrong Genius since the black tips are also from the too rich factory tune as well
as the oil by product coming through the blower which no longer happens with the MM PCV replacement . The MM catch does not lead to black tips. The car has more of a black tip problem with out it!

Installing the MMS PVC replacement with the M&M catch can will cut the amount of oil and crud entering the engine to ZERO PERIOD. Your blower will stay cleaner and internal intercooler stays clean and the amount of crap out of your exhaust will be reduced to water condensation but lacking all the oil venting by product.

A must do mod! If your keeping your Z06 long term!

Wow people have no idea how it works. They don't work on their own car have no idea what thet are talking about but they still chime in!

Then use the word engineer loosely.

Go to the M&M website to learn more. David at M&M is twice the Corvette mechanic as NORCAL who is wrong again here.

The exhaust tips are not the main point the cleaner blower and intercooler are. The black exhaust tips are reduced on a car properly tuned and with the M&M catch can system.

Dude, while I think the Mighty Mouse catch can system is really nice, it's already been explained why this will have little to no effect on exhaust tip blackening, which is mostly an artifact of direct injection.

Perhaps the catch can will reduce oil accumulation on the blower bricks, which might possibly lead to better heat transfer, but I have not yet seen you post any evidence for that.

I went with the carbon fiber tips on my Akrapovic exhaust so it doesn't look near as bad. I have a ProCharger F-1A and a few other goodies and didn't want to void my warranty by getting a Catch Can...

your PCV shut and then trying to vent the crankcase like ELITE
was/ are is a HUGE fail. M&M makes the real system!

Makes no sense!
Procharger F1A already equals no warranty so no worries about the Catch can.

Dude, you didn't even get that the guy was just messin' with you (and others)? So you swallowed the bait?

Love it!!! I was worried my green SC belt would be noticed and void mine.

It is no fun to joke when you have to explain it!!! So subtle in the delivery that it went right over the top.

Not messing with me when I could care less ! The thread was just to help others to show the value of the M&M modifications to the Lt4!
never meant your tips will be shining clean but it is obvious a lot the crud coming out the pipes should be less. Always going to get condensation at start-up.
You should see at the intercooler will not be looking good considering mine was getting bad at 28k. That is the main point you don't want that crud in the engine and this is the best fix I have seen.

Your and others here took the chance to be less than good forum members! Your Corvette IQ is as always is showing to be as low as it gets! You have no room to talk about others! Still trying to figure out why the A8 has the better 60ft aren't you!
