Default C7 ZO6 with Borla Attak with NPP axel back

Just got them installed , on 2018 Z06 A8 with NPP axel back only. I chickened out of the x pipe due to the possible low torque from others post's I read on her. I can say at least for me so far, no CEL, No Torque loss ( I think low end torque may be slightly better now over stock), Better looking than stock, tips more recessed from bumper, Sound is throatier at idle, Sound is much loader as you ramp up r.p.m.'s. over stock ( Sounds more like an race car, but not as loud), engine downshift breaking still gurgles poping, (But I like that), NPP's seam to work (Closed) in wet eco and touring modes, and sport and track (Open) just like stock. I would recommend them to others.

I just did the Borla S NPP with the X-pipe rear cat delete and its great, I was worried the Attak with the off road pipe would be a tad much. I got the same tips as yours and it's a huge improvement over the stock.

A cat back is not going to throw any CEL.. and despite all the manufacturer claims there is no power gain.. the slight power gain you feel is the perception from the extra noise!!

Welcome to the club..

Is the Atak system with the NPP closed as quiet at the stock NPP when closed?

Is there any drone with NPP closed or open?

Thanks George

I apologize for the no sound clip, I Can not seem to upload it to my pc from iphone, but I am working on it. However, regarding in response to Gymdoc about power gain you are probably absolutely correct for I did not dyno before and after, and it is probably all in my head. To Gorgre Vee , as far I can tell when the NPP are closed it does seem a slight bit louder than the stock ( it sure sounds good), but when closed, you can tell they muffle it a lot and I am not disappointed. I have not noticed any drone, but I have not drove on highway yet. I am sure it will some, but so did my stock ones.

Sorry but it appears this is the best I could do is a youtube link and it is very crude. I don't believe this is a good representation of what it really sounds like because it is recorded with a iphone

Well my earlier reservations of not installing the borla x pipe was hogwash. I went I head and rolled the dice and had my local muffler shop install the borla non cutting and welding model strait bolt on to replace stock xpipe with 2nd cats, and I am so happy with the results. Higher the idel sound is like a loud race car. Wow is it loud. No cel light, and absolutely no bottom end tourque loss and throttle response is crisp on my 2018 zo6 a8. It seems like it is quicker out of the hole compared to the stock x pipe and I will do some launch control test later tonight when it is safer and post my findings. By me reading other people post made me waste fully lose precious loud exhaust sound that I will never get back. The guy at Borla told me that that post was B/S and I should have listened. Well I am onboard now, and I mean WOW loud. Only other mods are ported T/B, gm Jake airbox, borla attack axel back with npp and now borla xpipe 2nd cat delete.

Good Day,

What would be the cost to have your exhaust, Cat Back on 2018 GS. Used both Borla and Magna Flow in the pass, thinking about Corsa, any suggestions?

Can you share a clip with the Valves CLOSED on Cold start up to see if it truly sounds the same as stock when in Stealth/Touring mode?

The installed price I paid for the Borla npp Atak axel back was 2300.00 and the installed price for 2nd cat delete borla x pipe was 600.00, yes expensive but I am happy with results, compared to stock sound. I have no idea what Corsa cost, some say it sounds better, I think it sounds to European (higher pitch)for me.

i will try to get that clip for you soon, to late tonight. I am not sure when valves are closed it is same as stock, but it is close in my opinion. But when I make the clip it perhaps won’t be a true test because I have the resonator off. Perhaps if stealth is important to you, then I would keep it factory.

Thanks for the sound clips now you have me excited my atak is on the way I already have the borla x-pipe. It’s noticeable and well worth the money. Also a little upgrade over stock tips is nice. I also purchased the borla diffuser will be interesting to see how that looks in person. Borla makes some nice pieces!
