Default Paint issues?

anyone with paint issues. I have a noticeably flaw in my paint on my rear hatch deck area. I’m wondering if they would fix and paint the area and if the paint is gonna match perfectly.

If it isn't black or a similar dark color that shows every small difference they should be able to satisfy you. It is covered under warranty.

Sux but touch up paint is your friend for such a small area. No repainted fender for me. Good luck

The vents are a common problem for years. Search the forums and be ready to be disappointed in how GM lets issues linger for years with nothing but lies of solutions being worked on

no clue what’s going on with your hood, can’t tell

Paint issues are rampant on these cars. Just discovered a small area(a little bigger than the size of a pin head) where it was chipping on my car the other day. Got a bottle of the ACDelco touch up paint and going to fix the chip myself as there's no way I'd let a paint shop touch it for something so minor. I think the moral of the story with C7 Corvettes is there are going to be paint issues on pretty much every car if you examine them closely enough...just have to learn to live with it.

OP, where are you located? Would you consider a re-paint on the problem areas?

I was in the dealer today and saw a 2019 Z51 vin 1836. If that is from the new shop. We have bad news the paint is no better than the white 2018 Z06 in the showroom. Both had some Orange peel not near as bad as some.

So does anyone know if the paint has a warranty. I own my car and definitely want it fixed if it’s free.

The hard edge they painted on my $2k option vision carbon roof looks like **** and the local dealer body shop manager blamed me for it and then finally agreed to fix it once I got corporate involved but had a terrible attitude and said he didn't guarantee it'll look better and if it's worse he won't replace the roof. Decided to just live with the bad paint job....

My dealer has a 2019 Sebring Orange Z06 in the showroom. If I didn't see on the window sticker that it was a 2019 I'd think it was painted in the old shop. It has just as much or more OP than my 2017 Torch Red Z06 and if I'd waited to order a 2019 based solely on the promise of improved paint quality I'd be severely pissed!

We were told how the $450 million paint facility was going to produce one of the smoothest factory finishes of any car out there. Guess you were absent that day.

I agree, unless you get a custom paint job that's rubbed down, you're gonna have it. Even my Porsche has some. I have an 18 Grand Sport in Long Beach Red that was painted in the new shop and I was able to compare it side by side at the dealership with an identical one from the old paint shop. There is noticeably less op in mine, but it's still fairly obvious. What's really driving me nuts is the small scratches in the clear coat, not too noticeable unless you look close. I'm buffing my brains out trying to get everything perfect before the Xpel goes on. Just goes along with the dark color and I guess I should just lighten up and not be so dammed OCD about it.
