Talking with my Brother and mentioned I finally got 500 miles on my Z06. Told him was a bit frustrated that I had to wait a week to get it in for the 500 mile oil change. The question was what are the reasons that make it important to get this done at 500 miles.
Well I stumbled on that one, so can anyone help me out on why this is so critical for the dry sump motor.

Some of the seals in the new motor outgas chemicals that reduce the effectiveness of the anti-foaming agents in the oil. That is the reason for the change.
