Default DSC Contoller issues... Twice ????

I have a 2016 Z06/Z07, about a month ago I installed a brand new DSC controller, initially had issues with the car not starting afterwards, but ended up being a connector issue. Got that straightened out, then once I started the car, the "service suspension" light came on. So I thought it was a connector issue, unplugged, replugged everything, put it all back together, same thing. Got hold of DSC, they sent me another one, put it in last night, and same thing. Ironically, when I took the first one out that they sent me and put the oe controller back in the light was gone, car drove fine. So I sent that one back in order to get the new unit. But I checked the original unit for bent pins, etc. etc. and none were bent. I was really careful after reading everyone else's post in here about bending the pins during the install. I guess my question is, is the stock Z06 suspension different than the Z07 suspension ? Could it be I need a controller specific to a Z07 ? I cant figure out why, two controllers, and same "service suspension" light. I have a friend of mine who went through 5 controllers before he got one that worked. I guess they were having wifi and communication issues back then, and he recommended I not get one, but I got it because everyone is raving about how great it is... and Jeremy assured me they had all the bugs worked out.. Has anyone else had this issue, and can give me some input ?

There isnt a specific Z07 version. All units are the same for C7 with mag shocks.

Make sure the wiring harness fully seats and locks onto the controller. First time I tried to install it looked like it locked on fully, but I had every suspension light possible come on. Took off the harness and really shoved down on it while i rotated the lock, and it clipped on more securely (noticeable difference) and haven't had any issues since.

I also bought mine second hand so I dont know what software comes preloaded in the unit. Did you try uploading the latest firmware and reloading the base software tune?

This one is brand new, as was the first one I got. I was told it had all the latest and greatest updates.

Look at all the pins to make sure they stick out the same amount. If one is not out as far as the others use a needle nose and pull it out. It will click when in its proper position. I had a pin that pushed in once and this fixed it. Otherwise, DSC's customer support is great. Good luck!

Reiterating what was already posted - made sure the plug was fully engaged and locked - I've not had any issues and have the Z07 option as well.

The controller does come loaded with the latest software package. I'd recommend another call to DSC since this has happened twice now.

agree, sounds like the controller is NOT completely seated and locked in place

I had the exact same issue - the harness is not plugged all the way in. As “simple” of an installation as it should be , it’s not , I plugged it in and it looked plugged and car would not start , or when it did start it would say “service stabilitrak” or something about traction control. I ended up taking it to my guys at aacorvette and they lubed it up and clicked it into place - it went a full inch deeper than the way I had it , It took the techs a solid 20 minutes of tinkering to get it to go in , way harder than it should have been 🤣🤣⚡️

I recently purchased one and had to the same issue on my 16 Z07 DIC message to "service suspension system". I spoke to Mike at DSC he asked me to return the unit for replacement. Actually got a call this AM saying the unit had an electrical defect that they are fixing. Will be sending a new tested unit in 3-4 weeks when the new batch becomes available. Great customer service, continually apologizing for the inconvenience, offered to refund. I asked to be sent a new unit when available. I felt DSC is standing behind their product and willing to do anything to make it right.
