Weapon X Performance
I first got into the high performance world with a 2015 jeep SRT8. When I decided to build the motor and really try to step up the power, it was let down after let down with almost every shop I dealt with, from the installers, to part manufactures, etc. After putting almost $40k into it, it made 550whp then blew up again lol.
Needless to say, I got rid of it and bought a C7Z because it was the fastest car I could afford that would be under warranty. Of course 6months into owning it and getting smoked by a few turned up cars, I put a lot of thought into deciding if I wanted to jump back into the high performance world with all the previous nightmares I had experienced.
I decided to give it a whirl. This time I put a LOT of time and effort into researching a shop that I could trust and would be easy to deal with. My search landed me with Weapon X.
I bought some stuff from them about 6 months or so ago. As things progressed I had lots of questions, which route to take, how much was all this gonna cost, where does it end, etc...
I have to say throughout this process they have been absolutely amazing! They provided tons of information, pros and cons of different build strategies, shipped me great parts, helped guide through the build process (even though I am out of state and they aren't doing the labor). Their communication, enthusiasm, professionalism is all second to none. On top of that their tuner Brian has been extremely helpful and dialed in my complex setup remotely and flawlessly. Currently making 1000whp and 1200tq with 0 issues.
They have fully gained my trust back in the high performance world and I have to give my full recommendation to use them if you are thinking of doing a complex build or any build.
Just wanted to share...
Car is making 750whp corrected for altitude on blower only. I have 18" lower and 3.25" upper but I am still on 91 pump gas. That is the main reason I went nitrous is that it was an easy way to get more fuel and air into the motor to make up for the 7000+ DA.
The only hard part about the whipple/nitrous combo is dialing in the tune, but as I stated above, Brian at Weapon X is a master as his trade and was able to remote dial me in. Was pretty cool to see actually. I was doing passes at the track with HP Tuners plugged in and it was connected to the hotspot on my phone. He was able to see live what was happening, adjust the tune, etc...
