Default Wheel space

QUESTION...This 18' ZO6 seems to have excessive wheel space. Do corvettes have the same orange spacers on the shocks the ZL1's had? Those which the dealer was suppose to remove. I don't recall my prior z having them.

The assembly plant purposely keeps them higher for easier transport on/off the carriers and the dealers have the option to lower them, however most choose not to and leave it up to the buyer. I also believe the Z07s ride a little higher due to the stiffer suspension settings. Not sure about the shipping spacers.

Thanks. I'll ask the dealer. When I bought the ZL1, they took the spacer off and they were in the trunk. This car looks strange, like the tires are too small.

Stock, the car sits too high and the wheel offset is not aggressive enough and the wheels sit too far inside the fenders.

Had the dealer lower mine an inch and it looks a lot better, as well as lowering the center of gravity will help any Corvette.
Scraps a little more, but nothing that can't be handled.

I find it to be near perfect right from the factory. Of course I am tracking the car and want suspension travel Vs being a waxer and not driving the car hard.

Car looks high but works great especially on rough tracks like Sebring

Oh, FYI, the ZL1'S have virtually no wheel space and have no problem "traveling" and do it very quickly. I asked because I thought just looks better. My 2016 ZO6 came stock without excessive gaping.Waxing is good for the paint they say. I have a pile of things in bags in the back of the new car for "tracking" which I'll throw in the shed. The 16' didn't which i find strange. I suspect they were installed at the dealer prior to sale and the car drove/ handled no worse for the wear.

I don't track my car, but I don't have to worry about scraping like I did with my C5. It was about 3" off the ground and scraped on everything. When I drove it, I had to constantly be watching for bumps and dips in the road.
