I got my Z06 back today
MRC does not work well on lowered vettes
I lowered my Z06 using the OEM bolts all was good (prior to MRC update)
then I got the MRC update, tour and sport modes turned to crap...way too harsh
Classic Chevy (Grapevine, TX) discovered this week a height sense was not in the "sweet spot" when the vette is lowered
so back up to stock height and the suspension works FINE...no more harshness
now I'll be able to see the MRC update difference at next track day :-)

That sucks. I lowered my car last week lmao.

I guess no mrc update or dsc controller for me after all.

I had my dealer (Klick Lewis) do the update in my 15’ Z06, and wow did it make a difference. The car is now much more compliant and confidence inspiring. It could be in my head but I swear even launching it is easier now.

Default Milton Wallace chev MRC update

Hello ,
I joined this forum to specifically speak about the dramatic difference in ride quality and handling I have experienced from the mrc update. Strongly recommended!!! I completed mine at Wallace Chev Milton, ask for Wendy she knows the whole process and it'll be done in a few hours. It is recommended to not drive the vehicle for 10 to 12 hours so the calibration can complete itself.

I had it done on my late 17 build 2018 Z06, Z07. I feel there was an improvement. Not earth shattering but a definite softening of the harshness. I did a HPDE day yesterday and the track mode (Sport 1) felt the same.

To ME a ok value. I am in Michigan, crappy roads. Live further south with better roads and the value may diminish.

unlike the above member... i immediately noticed the difference on the ride home... For example, i'm familiar with the sharp irregularities on this particular road on the way home from the dealer... within the first mile...it is concrete and the joints are raised / lowered every other section, you know the type... the car used to CRASH over them.. now it reminds me of my Buddy's CTS-V.... best thing i ever did. it is so much smoother, softer, in touring.... the sport setting is like before but the touring is now so tolerable on these NJ roads...

I think a lot of it has to do where you live... up here with below freezing temps and the suffering roads even in the summer the roads are shot... if you're in a nicer climate (Florida for example) I don't think you would notice the type of improvement like we are up here in this Sh**hole..

Hope that helps anyone contemplating the upgrade

has anyone lower their Z using the OEM bolts AFTER the MRC update?
....I had my lowered BEFORE and then did the MRC update...ride quality was REALLY BAD...I was told due to the ride height sensor

Had the crew at Abel do the MRC on my 2017 Z06, (a 60 mile drive for me). Noticed the difference right away! Hats off to Rich and the crew, thank you for a job well done!!!!

I was told the same. That's why I'm not getting a dsc controller.

I rather have a dropped car with the stock unit than a 4x4 with a dsc lol

Sold my '16 Z this a.m. & had the MRSC done about 18 mos. ago on it. Never thought it helped much if any according to my skinny butt. Will be interested to see if I notice an improvement with the '19 Z coming next week since it has updated software.

Hello,
I own a 2015 M7 Z07 and live in italy. I'd like to do the MRC update but the only official dealer here told me that it's not homologated in Europe. I don't care if it is legal or not since it is only a software and no policeman would notice it. However the dealer doesn't want to upgrade my car. What I'd like to know from you experts is if exist a way I can get this upgrade form USA and ask to my trusted workshop to install it on my car?

Well, I learned a new word today. Thanks! And, hopefully someone on here will have a way to make the update accessible for you. It really is worth it.

I would like to know this as well. Basically, I think, we are asking if it can be done remotely.

According to Tadge the MRC will not take effect until it has sat overnite (8-12 hrs) due to leveling & other adjustments which is why it must sit on a level surface for that period. You would not "feel", very subjective, a difference if driving immediately after software upgrade. Sitting period doesn't matter if done at dealer or you drive it home & park it overnite, but must be done. Just saying, not picking a fight.

Hi I just picked up a 2016 Z06. Is there a way to check and see if this update was done? I think it rides great but my other daily drivers are a ‘67 Chevelle and a ‘68 pickup so I don’t know that I have a lot to compare it to.

I'm in the same boat. I found a link that may help us out.
