First time Z06/Z07 Owner, got a couple questions...
So, after 5 years of saving $, got 2015 Z06/Z07 A8
It has impressed me, and I'm pretty tough to impress.
But I got few ?'s for you guys...
1. Tire Temp indicator always says Warm, even on first start up on 55 degree day.
It never says Cool or anythng other than Warm for that matter. Are the sensors bad or need reset or?
Or do I have to track it to get the tires to show Hot, and Warm is the normal baseline?
2. Oil pressure, once warm, in the 27-33psi range when driving is normal?
3. When cold, the first shift into Drive it takes 2-3 seconds to engage, is this normal?
4. In Tour mode still seems really harsh ride, will the MRC calibration update make a noticeable difference? ( I know, what did I expect w/ Z07)
5. Any way to force dash display to indicate what gear you are in w/o being in full manual mode?
It has impressed me, and I'm pretty tough to impress.

1. That gauges is worthless. It will say cold when it’s 30 degrees or below.
2. That’s right mine is usually at 30. And it’s an m7 and 30 with oil temps above 200 idling in traffic
3. I’ll let other auto owners reply but I have read other posts and this sounds right if it has been sitting over night or for a few days.
4. Others say the update helps. I am fine with mine and not forking out more money for that
5. With the m7 the gear indicator is always on. With the auto I imagine it’s like all other gm cars I rent when traveling on biz. If it’s in drive the gear display is not on. Only when you move it out of drive does the gear indicator display. Overall the dash I think is kind of funky the designers /programmers just put to much useless stuff in there and it makes the overall driver experience to complicated. I am sure it demo-ed well to the executives approving it and the budget to keep paying the designers and programmers justifying there existence but in the end most of it is worthless and adds unnecessary expense to the car.

Get the MRC Performance Upgrade, made a significant difference to my 2016 Z07. Much more stable and planted. Read the thread in Ask Tadge, I can say it describes the upgrade perfectly.

MRC upgrade will take some of the harshness out of the ride. The tire temperature gauge doesn't change much until you are on track and then you can see it show the tires up to temperature after you do a few laps. The tires have to be up to 190 degrees for best grip and it takes a few laps to get them there. Most summer time street driving the tires will run in the 130 to 140 range and that is why the gauge doesn't change much.
Your oil pressure sounds about right.

The oil pressure surprised me being as low as 28 psi at times. I believe this is normal. But it got my attention initially, as I spent a lot of years with British cars and anything below 50 psi on the Smith's gauges was worrisome. Used a lot of 50 weight oil in a '54 Aston Martin DB 2/4 to keep the pressure up. --Bob

Yes.
I live in So Cal, so the tire temperature NEVER shows cold, even on a winter startup. It takes a bit to get to "hot", but a few laps of autocross will definitely move the indicator into the orange (tires display as orange rather than green).

On subject, what should a new Z06/Z07 owner expect to receive at dealer delivery? If they have the Stage 2 aero installed we should also get the following items correct?
- Stage 3 front winglets
- Stage 3 rear wicker bill
- Ceramic Rotor protection pads (pillows)
- Front brake track air ducts
Anything else?
