*6/17/18 Corvette delivery post/and Throwback section from Mike Furman@Criswell******
~Half way thru the year of 2018...and 6 model years in to the 7th Generation...Corvette buzz is climbing and only going to get hotter. How can GM improve upon the C7? Very good question especially since the current Gen Corvette has hit a grand slam in every way.Rumors are rampant every day about the Mid Engine...will it be announced 4th qtr 2018 as a 2020 model year production? etc etc...Only time will tell because GM will officially announce it when it's ready and not before. Email me at mfurman@criswellauto.com if you'd like to be on my mailing list as I send out Corvette updates every 30-45 days via email.
~Derek Moore is the Curator for the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY and I made a point of meeting him late April when I was down there for the Bash. I watched his Moore Monday video's on Facebook where he gives his insights to the Museum and was a fan of his work.
I noticed he wore Bow Ties and I had just the gift for him. I had won a Chevrolet Gold Bow Tie back in the 2002 era for Chevrolet Sales and I had never worn it...so I mailed it down to join his Bow Tie Collection. This past Monday he started off his weekly video pointing out his new Corvette Museum piece that I gifted him.
~Yesterday I spent the day at the Corvette Annapolis Show right in downtown Annapolis with 100 Corvettes on display(Including my 1967) and thousands in attendance. One of my favorite venues of all time. It's great seeing so many of my Corvette customers/friends in one place. I posted a video on my Corvette Furman Facebook page along with a ton of show pics.
~~~SPOTLIGHT on One special Corvette delivery this week~~~
~Jim H. Of Ellicott City, MD stopped by Tuesday to view my Corvette inventory but never expected to see so many new Corvettes in one place! Jim bought his first new Corvette 50 years ago to the day and bought a new Corvette every year up to 1977!! Today was his first Corvette he has bought since 1977. So glad we got to meet as he picked out a Blade Silver 2019 Corvette Stingray Cpe with 1LT Pkg, Auto trans and Performance exhaust. We spoke after he got home and he sounded as giddy as a 21 year old which was his age when he first bought a new Corvette! Jim has a 1949 Cadillac in the garage at home.
(~Next week I will post up at least a dozen or more delivery stories and pics so stay tuned)
~The Frank Class Corvette throwback and Barn find section. Please post up which pics you like.
~Lemans ends today...Go Corvette Racing Team!
~Happy Fathers Day to all.
The pictures in this weekly thread never disappoint. That C2 vert posed with the NCM in the background is a great shot. Thanks for sharing this stuff every week.
Mike,
We just missed you! We had an obligation at 1200 and didn’t make it there until 1500. Everyone was leaving. There were some pretty amazing cars left! As always, Thanks for posting!
