4 brand new rims from a 2017 Z06
They are silver, I have black on my car, still in box my friend had his wheels changed out as soon as the car hit the dealership. In box's and wrapped as new never turned a street mile. I would rather sell but if anybody has advice on how I can have them painted black without chipping that would help also.
thanks

Whatever you do i would strongly recommend against powder coating. I did that to mine and 2 months later I've been through 2 redos and now on a third shop to figure out why they are now vibrating at high speeds after coating. I'm sure others have had smooth experiences but for 5-600 to powder coat just spend an extra 1500 and get new rims. My 2c.

Sorry, but powder coating isnt causing your vibration. Almost certainly its a poor balance or poor roadforce job.

It is. I assumed as you did that the balance was to blame. However, Zero problems and then powder coated and vibration began and persisted even after 3 Hunter road force balances by 3 separate shops. If you look into forums it is a not so uncommon problem. The hub can be powder coated wrong and not sit flush. In my case it's the inner rim that was coated thick and causing the rim to slip on the tire, another possible complication of powder coating. So, even after balanced and corrected it slides and becomes unbalanced.
My point is i thought i did my homework and after powder coating my car has been driving like **** for over a month to figure it out, including hundreds of dollars extra to figure it out. Not worth it even the slightest imho.

Ya something else is up. Literally, I've had thousands (no exaggeration) of wheels powder coated though work. All BMW wheels which are hub centric as well.
Powder coating doesn't cause vibration / balance issues in itself

well, i certainly agree. It was done very wrong but it was the powder coating process to blame. If this place jacked it up I'm willing to bet there are other shops that may not do it correctly either....

well took it to a reputable Tire specialist shop today and they took off the back tires from the rims and they found a ton of what they're calling Fix-A-Flat sealant goo on the inside that they had to scrape out and apparently they think that is what was causing the wheels to become unbalanced and vibrate. I know these Corvette Wheels can be tough to reseal on the tire so I'm assuming the people that remounted the tires originally didn't know what they were doing and use this Google as a substitute to try and get the tire to inflate after the job was done.

similar story, I have a audi S8 with 21" stock rims and tires, had a slow leak and didn't realize the tires were noise suppressing? anyways a large can of goop split between all 4 made it ride like a cartoon car, didn't realize the tires are lined with Foam inside and the tire sealant just spread unevenly thruout. No way to fix the tires but the company that makes the goop did cover half of my replacement on the 21" audi size and believe me not a lot of choices out there. Hard lesson
