Shock Absorbers -- FYI
Just an FYI -- had some significant handling problems at VIR and then Thompson (CT), and learned it was due to both rear shocks and left front shock leaking and non-functioning. (One motor mount was leaking too, and that was replaced as well.) Of course, shock replacement not covered by warranty, as these are maintenance items. Model year 15 with 38,000 miles. All quite surprising given the mileage. Dealership charged me their cost for the hardware. Still $2400.

Based on the cost I assume it was the MRC shocks.

So, safe to assume there's no monitoring or the MHR shocks? They don't report back problems, and the car can't measure response rates, so no codes set?
There are a number of components, like the intercooler pump, that CAN provide status but the car doesn't pay attention, so you never know....

Yikes. The MRC shocks are available for ~$280-320ea from ACDelco. Thats a ton of billed labor for what the job encompasses.

$2400 is why they call them "stealerships"
49Kmiles, dozens of track days and 3 One Laps on mine.
Just ordered a right rear shock that I found leaking last night while swapping out LCA spherical bearings. $351.00 + $21 shipping from GMPartsDirect.
Just wonder if the others are going to start to go. Guess I'm going to have to keep an eye on them.

Ive been watching mine closely. 27k miles. Both rears have a dampness that has attracted a healthy coat of dirt on the shock bodies, but no active drips/leaks Fronts are bone dry.
