Default MGW Flat Stick

I am very pleased with this upgrade, I was having trouble with the trans slipping out of 1st gear. The shifter feels much more solid and has not slippped out of 1st yet. Took about an hour and half to install, YouTube videos were great.

Also, I have now taught all 4 of my kids and my Daughter-in-Law to drive a stick in this corvette, how am I not Dad of the year?

What phone mount is that? I hate putting things on the windshield in my way. I need to install my MGW!

I also drilled some holes in the console to get the charging cord into the cup holder, works great!

Ive been having issues on the 2 to 3 shift. If I just shove the shifter forward, i often end up in first instead of third. Do you notice more spring force centering the shifter out of the 1-2 gate with this shifter? Cant decide between this or the hinson unit.

It definitely takes more force to get into first, so I would say yes it returns to center better than stock!

Then this unit may be right up my alley.

The MGW is great. Don't hesitate putting one in. It's an easy mod that is very noticeable. It would be very difficult to hit first unless you want to as the spring takes you to 3rd.

Agree with this completely for anyone looking to get one.

Thanks!
About to place my order. My car is also a manual. Did you get the horizontal extension plate that they say might be needed on manual cars?

No need for anything but the shifter. Stock parts go right back on except the upper cover as it's not needed.

That looks great. My only gripe is the pool ball shift ****. Doesn't look right in our cars. It's more for the older muscle cars, maybe a mustang. But IMO, not for our cars.

The phone mount i do need though!
