Default Demon vs me and my '19 Z

If I can get this throttle body to open fully when I mash it, it would of been a different ending. Lots of fun though. Demon has the stock ecm.

New to the 19 Z had a 2007 z. Is this the results with an A8 orM7? What is up with your throttle body Do you have a mechanical issue? Inpressive non the less. Btw I have a Hellcat. The Demon should be a low 10 second car on pump gas.

Demon had some bad heat soak most likely. My 2017 Z went from 133 mph to 121 in the 1/4 with my manifold air temp reaching 183* on the 121 pass. My timing advance was 1.5* at the lights.

Didn't the Demon's 0.36 advantage in reaction time really make the difference? I'm not a 1/4 miler but it seems the extra time sitting on the starting line is the difference....maybe I just don't grasp drag racing though.

Reaction time doesn't affect 1/4 time

Just asking, So if the tree hits green and I sit at the line for let's say two seconds that's not going to effect my time?

No-timer starts when you cross the line

So reaction time just matters for the win?

As mentioned earlier the the timer starts once you leave the start line, so most of the time the person with the fastest reaction time will have an advantage as the other car will have to make up for their slower time/reaction leaving the start line.

.03 would be an insane reaction time so I am guessing he was timing the light tree....is that why in top fuel the tree doesn't give a countdown like these?

That only makes sense if you're racing fastest to the end. Not fastest ET. I can sit at the start for 2 seconds while boost spools up and still run a faster ET. Doesn't matter.

. Haha. The secret is to bring the bracket car out to race. I can't cut a light worth beans with the Z. I had a .002 once, but that was pure luck.

The 10.60 and 10.71 run were pretty close. Very impressive times for both of these cars.
