That largemouth bass nose on the ZR1 doesn't blend well with the rest of the car & neither does the large wing. Functional yes but they look like after thoughts.
Now this is how large corner nose openings should look & be integrated with the overall design. I instantly loved the Aventador the first time I saw it when it came out years ago. I'd buy one in a second. I also like the fact that they didn't tack on an ironing board to the back end. Lol

I had no idea Z06 and ZR1 owners/admirers had such animosity toward one another. Do these cars just bring it out in people or is it something else like hormone replacement therapy? While I'm not a big fan of the wing's aesthetics I can appreciate what the ZR1 stands for and what it to Corvette enthusiasts. How can it be anything but good??

Never said I wanted one If I did it would be in the garage!
First it was "you still won't have a ZR1 "
Second it was! "you don't want a ZR1, and i didn't suggest you did or that you should.
They don't match and your posts just show I'm to conversing with a trolling clown! Who maybe has a C6 and plus I don't care about your 2 cents!
Post up your car! Then go to the correct forum!

You are, without a doubt, the most arrogant person on this website. Reading comprehension is definitely not your strong suit, and it appears likely you aren't affable either. I'll bet you're not real pleasant in person either, I'm surprised you've lived as long as you have if you act this way in person. Ive got a feeling you aren't very well liked.
Have a great day!

I like the ignore feature. It's good to block some insecure people

All of us are car lovers especially Corvettes, we all get carried away from time to time......some of us more often than others. LOL.

Coming late to this I have to put up the obligatory !
Re: ZR1, personally for me, I have a wish list and it’s abt cost vs benefit and scarcity value.
Cost: the c7 z06 are a steal right now with so much inventory and deals to be had for new cars— just took advantage 4 days ago on ‘17 Z leftover.
, having a ‘17 GS.
if I went into the ZR1 price point, just too much other candy worth having.
Benefit: I don’t need to say I have the range topper, I’m not good enough to make full use of it on the track or street, the car frankly not only doesn’t look different or better but looks like the guido IROCZ version that only the 18 yo in me would buy— why I also wouldn’t buy a ZL1 Camaro just based on looks, unless I could double my $ instantly.
I don’t have a new show like Leno, so that I can justify getting a ZR1 to talk about,
Scarcity: even when the ZR1 price comes down in a few years, it’s just not special enough to put on the car “list”.
just my $.02
PS very entertaining...this is the first Vette thread where I’ve seen guys bragging abt their portfolios, even showing their Lambo. Will one of those guys pls give me a good Short idea other than TSLA (just fully covered)

Well, this devolved into the usual "Whatever I own, and in whatever configuration I own it, is the bestest evah" melody in predictable fashion.

Every car on this forum is a corvette, so it's all awesome. I just find it funny how no one can accept there's a top of the line model for a reason, because it's the TOP OF THE LINE.
The C7 ZR1, right now, is the top of the line. Just accept it. Whether you like the car or not, it's the top. The head hancho.

It is what ever your eye and pocket book likes. I am mixed on the looks. Like the front, keep the wing. I see its place in the overall development of a complete track package. If all tastes were the same we would all have the same car. I loved my C5 and the lines were great. However, I traded off fit and finish compared to my Z. I don't care if you are a GM. Ford, Dodge, domestic or import. Be passionate about it but more importantly be respectful of others. Without that, we have nothing to gain with differences.

I like the fact that on the Lambos you have a choice, wing - no wing. I guess if you really wanted to you could remove the wing on the ZR1 but who is going to do that. The lower ZR1 wing is less obnoxious but still doesn't look all that great to me. The only good thing about the ZR1 wings are that they're chassis mounted & the large wing is great for the track with the downforce it can generate. How are the Lambo wings mounted?
You actually get to live the exotic car reality that most of us only can daydream about. I wish my bank account had a few extra zeros before the decimal place so I could buy an exotic or two or three....Lol

I don't see why people can't post about their other cars on the forum. Yeah it's a Corvette forum, but it's always cool to see other super cars and read about how they compare to the Z06, ZR1, etc.
I frequently read other forums such as Rennlist and they have discussions about different cars and how they compare all the time.
