Default X pipe install question

Short and simple. Do I need to disconnect the battery before installing my new Borla X pipe? Thanks in advance

You are just taking off nuts and bolts that hold the X pipe on, so of course not. You only need to disconnect the battery if you are touching something that has to do with the charging or electrical system, like an alternator or starter. Tip for installing the X pipe is keep everything loose until it's all lined up correctly and then tighten down. Very easy job.

And get some lubricating spray to assist with taking the exhaust hanger off and putting it back on.

I put the car on the lift and installed the borla X pipe over the weekend. Easy mod, straight forward, and love the louder sound while revving. Thanks again guys

I am really close to doing this mod for track use and might buy another set of hangers and gaskets to make swapping back and forth easier.

Where did you buy from?

I ordered from RDP. They were the quickest to answer and had a great out the door price. I ordered on the 15h and literally received it 2 days later. Very happy with the fitment and transaction and speed of delivery.

Never hurts to think ahead before a job shows you're being smart! Lot of bad can happen with out it! My dad main preaching was to think about things before hand.
If you were installing headers you would sure unhook the battery.. But you should be ok! Good luck!
