Default Anybody put a ZR1 thorttle body on their Z06 yet

Seems like a few others have bought a ZR1 TB from Cajun @ Edgyvette and I got one on my way myself. Just wondering if anybody got any dyno numbers, seat of the pants feeling, etc to see how much they gain going from the stock 87mm to the 95mm of the ZR1

I have one waiting to test out on my 2015 Z06. But it is 1500 miles away. Hope to be there soon and test it out. I have seen dyno's where the 95 mmTB performs very close to the 103'tb's and much better than the stock one..

If anybody can update with some sort of data on this subject that would be great. I would love to buy one but want to see if it's worth the extra money versus a regular TB.

It does require a spacer plate. And with the plate it will sit at a 11* angle if that matters.

The 95 TB sits at the same angle as stock the plate only extends the TB a little more. The adapter plate is one thickness.
They mean CLOCKING which means turning on its mount not degree's. It doesn't matter.

Nice gain over the 87 tb from what I have seen the 95tb does almost as well as the 103 TB Not sure the value on the stock car but with mods I would say yes.
I have it and the plate waiting to go on when I see the car,

Are there any pics with the 95 mounted on our LT4 engine? I read somewhere that the plate rotates the tb or clocking as you say 11* is what I was referring. Maybe not so but are the bolt circles the same? Is the plate so the blade will open without contacting the manifold?

I just did the swap and it was a holy bitch getting that sucker to mount to the coupler that comes with my halltech. I would suggest going with a bigger coupler to avoid having a 2 man team to get it on.

I believe that plate is there so that it will mate up to the supercharger snout since its made to accomodate the stock 87mm TB, not the Zr1 version

i was figuring that it would be I was planning putting the end of it in real hot water to pop it on then back the intake with the other end!
Did you add to a stock car? Then how does it run?

What is different with the snouts? Bolt circles? Maybe the plate is need for a smooth flow transition from the 95 to the Z06 snouts 87mm ID?

The bolt pattern appears to be different and it has to be clocked at 11 o'clock for mounting clearance.

Thanks, that's what I had read. Would like to see a pic with it mounted before I decide. Just not sure how it will look with the spacer and rotated to 11 o'clock???

Go to ictbillett.com and they have pictures mounted. The throttle body is tilted over so that the throttle plate is app on a 45 degree angle from horizontal. You can see this clearly in the pictures on the ictbillett website. This is necessary it appears for clearance as the 95mm TB is physically different. Doesn't make any difference what angle it is mounted at as far as performance is concerned as it is only a throttle plate. I doubt it makes much difference in performance on a stock or near stock car. increase boost, headers & midpipe, bigger intake, cam and it is probably a different story.

This is the only pic I'm finding on this site and this is not acceptable.

Based on that pic, any concerns with hood clearance. Looks like the electrical connections sit above the SC. I have a Halltech and wonder how hard the attachment is? 3Z's idea of heating the coupler with hot/boiling water to soften it up may work or even add some liquid soap to help it slide on easier.

Would like an installed picture as well. Clearance issues are of concern prior to me buying one of these.

Their are more than one adaptor plates being made the one I have is different and doesn't clock or turn it up in air like that.

There are two different adapters from ICT Billet. One clocks the throttle upwards. The other just slightly rotates it.
